Heh, you're supposed to give cursed items an enticing name so someone wants to pick it up, like "Stone of immortality" or "Stone that feels awfully heavy for its size but is absolutely not cursed, I repeat NOT cursed"

I have enough weapons and magic thingies to outfit an army.
...And I have an army.
...And a kingdom.
...And candy.
...And pie.
And then just as much "cursed" stuff to outfit the enemy army so they'll suck.

-----

It seems the level requirement stuff changed in the toolset; I made a Misc. item that has infinite castings of several powerful spells in the game, and it was only up to a level 19 requirement. Whereas before HoU, I had one mid-level spell with infinite casts and it jumped to a level 15 requirement.

Den, that pic that you used for your sig, is that an in-game shot or did you manage to make your character actually move in the toolset? If you did the first, was it in a custom module? And if it was the second, HOW???

The Whirlwind attack is a new active feat. Its tricky to get, since you need high Dex, Str and Int and have to be one of the melee classes (fighter and such). It takes one whole attack turn and damages every enemy in a short area around you. It is a cool-looking move.

I bet 3D Studio MAX or some other 3D app could rip the models so I could do whatever I want with it, but alas, I've no such 3D app.

I made a Misc. Small Item called LOLOL with the description "OMG LOLOL U PIKD UP THIS ITEM!?1 HAHAH U SUK". If you pick it up, you'll get an extra 300lbs in your bag, and its undroppable. That's a much nastier suprise than a trap.

SWG doesnt wish to be anything like D&D

other than that, looks like a cool game, because it is deablo esk I guess you can finish it? and start over, and finish it?

RAAR!

In story, NWN is a Dickens/Poe/Shakespeare compared to a Diablo Hans Augusto Rey or an SWG Christopher Golden.

In action/battle, things are little more complex than hack&slash with some special moves for a fighter, but can be REALLY kick ass with two high-class mages (and proper use of counter and defensive spells).

In visuals, the game has low-detail-pixel models, since your camera should never require you to be so damned close to things. The magic spells and such kick ass, and due to the simple polygonal thingies, the game doesn't do too bad when a lotta things clutter up on the screen. It's all about atmosphere, and damn, if this were any more atmospheric, I'd be... uh, totally atmospherized... or sumthin'.

Beat the HotU campaign some hours ago, the third chapter is damned hard.

Sounds great! Well, Ive decided to show some custom modules I made of myself and Den in the toolset. I tried making yours Den somewhat similar to your sig, just not the armor and weapon.

Image

Im wielding dual acid katanas.

Image

Den is wielding a lightning long sword.

FYI, I didnt feel like giving any fancy names to any of the items I made, but everything you see is custom.

Send me an email. denkirson@hotmail.com
Homestead can get them up rig-uht.

Maybe I'll make a whole bunch of PHX guys fighting against some monsters, just like that Goblins Vs. Kobolds mod that came with one of the 1.2 updates.

Homestead's been a bit slow lately. If they don't show up now... well, just wait and try again later.

I'm looking to find out how to add wings to my non-Disciple player characters. There's a hak took around somewhere.

What about actual characters?

I have about fifty+ characters (dual, even triple-class characters), all assorted with different specializations. They were all randomly made and aren't really buffed up.

Then I have my few special characters.

I have two variants of Den Kirson, one is a Paladin who I beat the original NWN with and haven't used since. The other is a Fighter/Weapon Master (the very guy you see in my sig, made specifically as a PHX version). The PHX Den is outfitted with the low-level PHX items.

In the story I gave to Den ("Alabaster"), he has two friends/guardians/lackeys, Geoffrey Undine and Janus Yeler. Geoffrey Undine is a Rogue with the "Scout" preset and is outfitted with a bunch of custom items and traps. Janus is a Sorcerer with custom items to allow him to weild a large axe and stand his own in melee combat without any fighter skill. I use them on ocassion.

Then I have Vincent Crevan, a level 40 Fighter who is entirely outfitted with insane custom items, I use him when I play one of those custom modules that has impossible monsters, and I don't feel like having a long tasking battle of luring a lone monster over and over without being overwhelmed.

-----

Finally, I have Fox Kitsune (My true avatar), my currently most used guy. He's only a level 10 fighter, but I'm going to have him dual-class as a ranger. Originally, I tried a fighter/ranger when the level cap was only 20, but he didn't seem strong enough in either field at ten each. Now that it's at 40, He could make an effective direct and indirect combatant.

He's outfitted with character-specific items, things he would have in relation to his story, including his sword and "gun", although in his story the sword is incredibly powerful (Vincent Crevan powerful), so I watered it down substantially with only a small bonus on them.

His katana, Chitai has Keen, Regen and Vamp Regen +2. His Light Crossbow Crisis has infinite basic ammo and Mighty +1. His clothing has Freedom of Movement and a Spell resistance of 12.

If a bunch of us ever have some kind of multiplayer get-together to go through the NWN campaign, I'll be using Fox (Unless we consider having create a brand-new character at the start, in which I'll make a Ranger starting off).

-----

Or something.
