Server kicking....

Post by TimeIIDie »

Server is kicking 90% of people for invalid .pk3 files, is stopping many people playing on the server. Any idea what going on?

I'm having problems where every server I log into - locks me up completely after being on the server like 20 seconds. I have to do a hard reboot to stop it.

any ideas?

I have had the exact same problem waste. I had to update my video drivers for SWG and now I cant play SOF without locking up in the first few seconds.

I had the same problem with ET at first, but don't know how to fix it.
Came home one night and there was my brother playing it without any problems.

My friend had the "play 20 seconds and freeze" problem as well.

Rolling back his video driver in device manager fixed it, because there were known issues with certain Nvidia cards (GeForce3 primarily) and the 53.03's

Nvidia is aware of this issue and it should be fixed in their next release.

Same problem here guys, your options are a) To go back to 4x.xx series drivers or first try the new temporary PB fix that has just been released for this problem (was nice of them to finally release this 2 hours after I rolled back my drivers after a month of problems).
