A little CALL OF DUTY News!!

Post by I.D.O. »

Here is a little news update about CoD.

First, IW, Activision and Evenbalances announced that PunkBuster is coming to CoD. That is great especially now that they are starting to get PunkBuster where it needed to be with checking system files as well as game files for prelinking or modifications. Here is a short short blurb from EvenBalance's site.

This is the only thing that I have seen in the last week about the CoD patch.
Hey guys,

You're free to post about this on your sites - just a brief bit of info for
you.

We wanted to let you all know that we're listening to your questions about
the Call of Duty patch. I've spoken to the team and thought it might help to
let you know that updates are definitely coming. Infinity Ward is working
now to complete the first update meant to address several issues like bunny
hopping, etc.. We also know that you're very concerned about cheat
protection. The guys at Infinity Ward are currently considering the best way
to address cheat protection. The guys are working really hard and as soon as
I have more info, I'll pass it along.

Thanks,
Caryn

That was a quote from CoDFiles.com.

I will try and post any new information as I see it.

Does anyone see our server in the server browser?? I can see it in my favorites but not in the server browser since I applied the patch (both my client and the server).

Let me know.

IDO we were on the PHX server last night and I didn't see anyone new join the server we always have someone show up and I can't get the server to show up in the main server list even after refreshing a bunch of times is anyone else seeing the sever in their list. I use the all seeing eye program to find people so I don't have a problem just concerned about everyone else 8-}

That is the question I was asking a couple posts ago.... Ever since I patched the server it doesn't show up for me either. I may reapply that patch and see if that helps.

the server has never shown up for me *shrug*

any chance we can disable voting AND at the same time give some basic commands to PHX admin's? sucks when someone votes for a phx to get kicked and it sucks whenyou cant get rid of assholes.

Yep - IDO controls most of the configuration, but I know he's busy. I'll see if I can't get something up soon.
