Okay...I bought this game...the gold edition. I've got company tonight so I won't be playing until tomorrow but is there a particular server or something I should go to? And what sort of character classes are not covered in your group (just in case I'm leaning towards one you really need).

Hey Ayyyla... I knew my mind tricks would pay off eventually.
Anyways we play on the PvP server Mordred. It is harder to level on Mordred compared to the other servers, but also MUCH more fun and rewarding. After level 10 it is PvP anywhere exect the 3 capital cities. The good thing is that on the normal servers you pretty much wait until level 45+ to PvP whereas with Mordred if you get tired of leveling you can go shake things up B-)
As for classes right now we have the basics covered. We have speed, endurance regen, mana regen, healer (secondary char only but still not bad), crowd control, and DPS with tanks.
So really it just depends on what you would like to play. I would probably not recommend a stealther as your first character, as they are not the greatest in PvE and learning the game, although they can do well in PvP.
Here are a few suggestions:
- If you like healing/buffing/pet I would suggest druid.
- If you like being the last one standing and doing lots of damage probably sword warrior or merc.
- If you like dealing INSANE damage but having low health I would say theurgist, or runemaster.
- If you like primary healing and crowd control I would suggest a healer.
- If you like having buffs, heals, AND great damage/utility a cave/aug shaman is great.
There are a lot of classes out there. Just jump in the vent channel and let us know your play style and what you like to do and I'll try to explain the classes B-)
