Another CAL Match WIN!!!

Post by I.D.O. »

We have another CAL WIN under our belt. It was a very good game and everyone did well. OOTP CAL Record. I would like everyone to send me their demos. Arch wants to me to try something in my very valuable free time. IDO@PhoenixOrder.com

Also a BIG thanks to BBC who practiced with us to get ready for this match.

Once Again..... GOOD GAME!!!

Great Job folks ... lets keep the momentum rolling like a juggernaught.

I have an idea with peoples demos (hopefully not the same one Arch had)

If we capture the video from everyones perspective, then we can edit the action to resemble the whole match (adding special effects, music and slow-motion etc)

Then we could blend it all together into a nice fun-filled AVI for people to watch.

I have a few questions however :

1) Can you free-roam with a camera in a demo? (for dramatic angles) or are you chained to that persons perspective.

2) Can you Pause/Forward/Rewind a demo?

I would love to help out in this idea (I went to school for video editing/design before changing to networking) and would have a blast whipping up some goodies.

Good job again everyone!

Xor, I belive your stuck to the persons perspective that you saw in the demo, but I could be wrong.

PHX, congrats on the win guys! Keep up the good work!

XoR,

You hit the nail on the head that is exactly what Arch asked me to do. I have converted a couple demos in the past and this time I am going to try timing all the demos in one view and get them to a Divx format because the other ones were huge. A7 is also correct that you are stuck with the view that you played. If there is away to switch views I don't know it. We are also going to post some binds that will make it easier to view demos as well as controls like Fast Forward, Rewind and speed control. I will keep you posted.

I haven't tried this yet myself, but it may come in handy. Supposed to be able to view demos outside the game.
