PHX 4v4 FUN

Post by XoR »

Let's try to get a game going where we can all join up and have some fun! 8 player minimum! 4 v 4. w00t :D

I'm thinking this Thursday (10-21) 7pm CST. or we could shoot for earlier/later if this is bad due to matches/scrims.

This should give people enough time to go out there and get a copy if they don't already have one or "borrow" a copy.

Post here if interested - let's see if we even have 8 people that play.

I say Cooler, Zero, Den and myself vs. PHX... hahaha! No, this sounds fun. A little in house tournament; competition is good for the body, mind and soul. Except when Cooler puts a bullet in your mind, taking out your body and soul. :(

Uh. I don't have Starcraft. And even if I did, I suck at those real-time my-army's-bigger-than-yours games.

Though I'm always willing to "borrow" games.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you Den. I'm selfish and worry about the wellbeing my character, instead of 100 others.

I just keep making foot soldiers. You may have a few super tanks, but I got about five hundred men! Guess who wins? That friggin super tank.

I hate the real-time ones since it always boils down to who gets the most funds to build the best things first, yet I kick ass in sequential turn-based strategies... like all of those "Tactics" games... and Fire Emblem.

Lesee... game so old, all the secluded hubs don't even have it for "borrowing" anymore... where can the Den get it?

StarCraft is one of those rare games that just never get old. And It's definately not about who gets the biggest army. I can get owned by alot of people who can FIGHT with those smaller armies better (micromanagement).

As far as copies go, I don't know what to say. I know StarCraft/BW battlechest is only 14 bucks here, and you cannot call yourself a gamer without StarCraft :D ... but if you guys can get ahold of a disc somehow, we can all use the same key since we'll be hosting a private game online.

The BattleChest comes with 2 strategy guides as well, and are FULL of cool information.

what was that about the same key xor? If more than one person can use the same disk i could burn a copy for ya Den. Oh, and I pretty much suck at starcraft, but I'm willing to take a shot

As far as I know (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) we can all install the game using the same CD key and as long as we all have the same version (1.11b), we can all play on a private internet game.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a universal number you can enter. I think the CD key issue only becomes valid on BNET.
