Which was the best game I ever played until it became the hack and cheat infested junk 2000 players across all servers game :)

If they didn't allow all those hacks, cheats, third party apps, etc hell I'd probably still be playing it today.
I have no sig.

Yeah... still fun though. Darktide (full PvP) sucks with all those level 50 noob killers. If only there was the same thing with UO (being able to make own free servers), Asheron's Call would be awesome. I played it a few months ago for a while, and it is definetly far more entertaining than any of these recent MMOes.

Asheron's Call 2 / WoW Alpha build is teh suck.

Of course Mid, we could always end up with a penguin-eating poo, now that would be awesome.

I've extensively played Battle for Middle Earth. It... sucks. Mostly.

Tries to do a Warcraft 3 with levels/rank and whatnot with movie characters, but totally screws it up since most units will never live beyond rank two, and heroes are imbalanced among the armies. On the C&CGenerals engine, it doesn't even play too well, load times are hilariously long (microwave a pizza for three minutes and still be loading), particle effects are dull but numerous (slowing down gameplay without any extravagant looking things), and character models move like crap.

The play is heartily imbalanced. Rohan in MP games have seven heroes, not only are they far more powerful than any of the other groups' heroes, they outnumber them two to one, at least. (Gondor 3, Isengard 2, Mordor 3 heroes). Many units are virtually useless except to be used as shock troops. Most footmen are useless, Archers are overpowered (once they get fire arrows) and calvalry can run an entire army over in a few passes.

Single player isn't even that fun either.

Not for hardcore strategy-type gamers. This is mostly a foot-in-door game for genre newcomers. Just keep to Rise of Nations.

Well that saves me the trouble of picking up Battle for Middle Earth. After I enjoy Dawn of War a bit more, I'm probably going to check out Alexander next.

i loved the fact that starcraft so so incredibly simple- no camera view to worry about, no strange 3d things that do nothing but slow the game down, and three races that are pretty damn well balanced!

i really didn't even like wc3 at all..... just seemed like it went out of its way to make things complicated- yes i know, i'm a very simple minded fellow
