Sweet band!

Post by Undead_Mercenary »

For any of you hard rock or metal fans out there, there`s this fairly new band here in North Bay that are just awesome! They play "Thrash Metal", although I consider it more hard rock since they dont double bass. Nontheless, they are very talented for guys their age (I think most of them are around my age, lead singer is Grade 10!). I have yet to see them live, apparently the play some relaly good Metallica and Slayer covers.

Theres a link where you can download a couple of their songs. Guess the one thing that is great about this town are the local bands... except High Holy Days. They blow.

nice... some decent tunes, although i would highly recommend that invest in more professional studio time. makes a big difference in mic'ing of the drums and vocal 'clutter'. but some decent stuff there big fella, if not a little bit too hardcore for my liking haha

Oh, I definetly agree with you Lev. They can only benefit from recording at a better studio. What can I say? Theres only 1 recording studio here that I am aware of, that being Northern Darkness (unless its only a studio for metal recording). Nothing fancy from what one of my buddy's told me, and pretty cheap to get something recorded.

And if you think that was hardcore, check out these guys :http://www.audiostreet.net/artist.aspx?artistid=2972

Waiting on his new album now...

Thankfully we've got some better recording studios in our area.
Time stops for no-one. Why should I?

Oh dear child there is such great hardcore music out there what you have there is just the tip of the iceberg. People here have went to great links to try and support some of the good local hardcore bands in central florida by lending a hand in setting up this web page SCENEJUMPER.com alot of great music out there we are trying to spread the word :) Last weekend was the sites first fully sponsored show where scenejumper provided the place the play and all the radio advertisements for the bands, anyway turn of your radio and go support your local hardcore band its not a easy road to travel.

Man, you should talk to my buddy Mike, I`ll be damned if theres a single hardcore/metal/blackmetal/death metal band out there he doesn`t know of. And I completly agree with you Toad, hardcore musicians definetly need support since they arent as well known (or liked) as the "radio-friendly" bands.

Heres another great link for any metal fan out there:

Pretty good band J! Their song 100,000 Jesus Christs is kinda similar to Disturbed.
