RocketLAN 2005!

On December 9th, RocketLAN will kick off it's inaugural event in Bloomington, IL. We are excited to give gamers an opportunity to interface with members of the gaming industry, while enjoying a competitive gaming atmosphere. The event runs from December 9th @ 5:00pm until December 11th @ 4:00pm.

We have Volition Inc. lined up to come in an discuss "How to get a job in the game industry". Volition has developed many popular games such as The Punisher, the Red Faction, Summoner, and Freespace series, as well as the upcoming XBOX 360 game, Saints Row. We are also working with some additional developers, schools offering degrees related to Game Design, Development, and Art to bring them to this event as well.

And don't forget the gaming!

We'll have tourneys in Battlefield 2, CounterStrike (1.6 and Source), Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, Unreal Tournament 2004, and a Texas Hold'em Tournament. Additionally, we're going to have some fun contests and some great prizes.

Signups open on October 1st @ 10:00am (TOMORROW!!), so grab your friend, clanmates, or enemies and get to fraggin!

$30 at the door
$25 if you pre-pay by November 15th

Wow Volition that kicks ass...I loved Red Faction and Freespace. Also Saints row looks pretty kick-ass as well. Sadly I don't have the $$ or the time off to go to it or I would...if it comes around next year I will totally be on board for that.
