RE: Dungeon & Dragons Online
I've been signed up for quite a while now and can't wait to try it out, I think the hardest things is making the transition from 3'rd Edition rules to apply in a MMO. I know they were having issues witht he amount of spells mages and healers get before they have to rest. So I believed they upped the amount of spells at lower levels considerably. The monsters look good so far, I know the devs are big fans of the PNP game and they want to keep as close as possible. Should be a good one.
RE: Dungeon & Dragons Online
MMORPG.com has a couple of good interviews on the game that give an idea of what it's like so far. I've been signed up for a while as well. Just waiting to get in.

RE: Dungeon & Dragons Online
Although I've never been familiar with the rules, I love Dungeons and Dragons. Thus, I will sign up and hope that I can get a chance to try it out.

RE: Dungeon & Dragons Online
Although I have high expectations for a D&D online game, I've seen soo much of this game already and I'm pretty sure it will be completely crushed by the WoW juggernaught. My prediction is the standard low 70's for reviews and a overall ho-hum experience.
I hope I'm wrong! (I'm very pessimistic about online MMORPG games in development)

Well, Yazule was the name of my favorite D&D character, half elven fighter magic user Thief... if you think he wont exist in an online world if I can do it then you been smokin some good stuff.....
RE: Dungeon & Dragons Online
I've got hopes for this game, especially since Turbine is the team working on it.
I'll never play it, but I'm sure it'll be kinda good.
If you see a Sorcerer named Janus Yeler, or Rogue Geoffrey Undine, that would be me.
I wonder if it has Bards...

God damn, theres a Stress Test availible now for Fileplanet Subscribers.
I wonder why I was able to sign up for the beta, if only the subscribers can play?

RE: Dungeon & Dragons Online
subscribers get first dibs on keys, after a certain amount of time the stress test will be opened up to all fileplanet users. I'm just waiting for them to give me my key. Downloading the high res client as we speak.
RE: Dungeon & Dragons Online
Got the client and awaiting key (very impatiently)

RE: Dungeon & Dragons Online
How large is the client? I have a feeling that even if I get access, my weekly 2.5 Gig download cap won't allow me get it.

RE: Dungeon & Dragons Online
Client is 3 gig for normal client or 5 gig for high def, don't bother with the high def as it's only for top end cards, the game still looks great with the lower detail anyways.
After playing this game for the past 2 nights I'm putting it as a definite buy already. It plays a lot like NWN on steroids.
