Been a while...

Post by ZarnKano »

Anyways I figured Id stop by as usual, wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy New year, all that good stuff.

Hope the cool people like Taz, Grudge, Death, IDO, Arch, Xor, Z3r, Dragon, Mid, Ultra, Ayyla, Ace, Merc, Dick and all the rest I may have forgotten are still around.

What games are big around abouts now?

Thumbing through the SWG fourms it seems that Death cancled his account last month, my guess is the rest of the guys followed suit.... I was just remembering those days last night actually while just sitting here with not much to do.

We had the Tat city... then we had the small Naboo lakefront resort, then Dantooine ... Northern Retreat was it? Heh, who could forget the lag, and the merchant house we had there. And then there was ... ah Lake Dread.

Fun times I must say.... been missing you guys a ton, just I hardly have time for anything. College next year for this guy (Finally eh?) I'll be 18 in about 9 months. I'm going to be persuing a major in Managment Information Systems ... as much as I loved computers though, I can honestly say I never saw myself comitting to a life of working with them.

Congrats to Grudge who I just saw is a recent (or somewhat at least) Dad. I havent talked to Den in about 6 or 8 months ... we gotta get together sometime soon.

Hope the family, Misses, Kids and all the rest of those close to you are well. Hopefully bill isn't too senile yet to remember me ...

Be safe guys, take care as usual. =)

heh heh, and as usual Zarn, its always a pleasure to get a letter from you to the Guild....

we still talk about you when something weird happens that remotely involved you... (pink speedo's on a lizzard from SWG comes to mind)

heh heh, those were some fun times...

we need to hear from you a bit more often, it sometimes humbles those of us who have no life to see that the one who knew the Guild and games knew enough to walk away and get that life... Ultra claps for you

I'm sure you would appreciate this pic. I was going through my folder of SWG stuffs. Im kinda hurt I lost my screenshot folder of the best weapons I have ever made, but I did get time to check up on the SWG forums and my name is still being thrown around, I was never forgotten.

With the whole leaving thing, I will be the first to admit. I had a severe addiction. I would play this computer game for 6 to 8 hours per day. I was a kid (And still kinda am even though many things have changed) but while trying to hold a job, a full time student highschool carrear and at one time even a girlfriend it got to be too much.

I believe very firmly that too much of ANYTHING is bad, for me it was too much SWG. And my life revolved around it, I just had to get up and go for a change of lifestyle. But it wasn't just SWG, it was SOF2 at first, the Planetside, and for some time COD too. Games like this will ALWAYS have a place in my heart that nothing can ever match, just too much of them was really controling my life, and I want to be the one to control my life. Its almost like Im afraid to set foot into these games again but I do give a promise that sometime, I can't say when might be a few years or who knows, but I will be around again when I think I can handle it.

Cheers to you ultra.

hey Zarn,, your far more mature than some 23 year olds in this Guild..

you are doing what is best for you IRL and i for one hope you at least keep in touch and grow with this Guild... the best thing i like about this group is that you dont have to play games with us to be a part of us..

and im sure i will butcher Archs' quote.. "this is not just a Guild, think of more as a family of friends"... sorry Arch.. i think i got the meaning out there anyways.....

you know us old school members will still be around when and if you do wanna play something on your 3 min. of off time from real life

I think Ultra had Poo in mind when he said "you're mature than some of the 23 year olds in this guild" hahaha.

Glad to see things are still going great for you Zarn. I can totally relate to the addiction, WoW still controls a large portion of my life, and it ended up having an effect on my first college semester grades. Hence, I think I will make a New Years resolution, video game moderation and no more procrastinating.

Of course, that resolution will probably go down the shitter once I get Elder Scrolls IV, or DDO. I'll try to get a 98 average before than lmao
