LOTR Online - Shadows Of Angmar Game - Anyone Playing?

Post by JungleJim »

One game to bring them all and in the darkness bind them; The Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Angmar brings the legendary world of Middle Earth to the multitudes. From the gates of Mordor to the fields of Bree Shadows of Angmar lets you step into the shoes or furry feet of hobbits, dwarves, elves and men as you quest to battle the Witch of Angmar.

Well I had been trying demos, and trying to find something to play vs just killing in COD4. Being snowed in Canada, has not been fun for the last few weeks, and Im tired of waiting for AOC and Warhammer.

I enjoyed the free 7 day demo so much I bought the game.

Going to hobbit around for alittle bit, is anyone else playing? I haven't picked a server for my real account which I will be starting on Monday.

Here is a review on the game.

I own it but I do not have an active account. I was only mildly entertained. Of course, I got it when a bunch of other crap was coming out at the same time.

My kid's asked me about renewing my account but I unno.

I'm pretty sure I remember Den saying he had it.

Yes, Den stated he received it during some winter-based holiday. I haven't heard if he has played it or continues to participate in such fantasy lands.

I do have it. Unlimited subscription since my brother was in the Beta.

I play infrequently, maybe an hour every few days to do a quest or two.

On the Vilya server (newer, still low population), got a mandude shieldperson and an bigear bowguy.

BTW you can upgrade the trial account and keep the character, my first character is Tauruz on Brandywine, level 13 or so.

I made a female hobbit, on Vilya, her name is Junglejane, level 5 atm. I thought it appropriate for Valentines Day.

Scoutadin, is an elf hunter, also I had made a Burgler Junglejim.

try to save my names so nobody steals them :)

It takes 6 people to make a guild.

I'm a 13 captain atm, the game's pretty fun for now when playing with phx'ers but I don't know if I'd really want to play it if nobody else was. The monster play seemed kinda cool too.

My interpretation of this thread is that they are playing on Vilya.

As Badash stated, its only fun if other ppl are playing. If i didnt have Den playing on Vilya i would be totally lost.I did play for awhile on my own but that was on the noob plain. Not very large and easy to remember. Now that im on the Vilya plain im begining to see just how large a playing surface there is. I have to admit, i could do without all the traveling but i am willing to manage when other phxers are online.
