Question
Question
I have my hard drive partitioned so that windows has 10 gig and games, movies and such, have the rest. Problem is, there isnt any space left in the 10 gig. Every time i clean it out it get filled again. Is there a way i could remove the partition or make more space in it? I'm trying to avoid reformating. As i know that it would work but want to not have to set everything up again.

RE: Question
someone that is more computer savvy would have to answer but I *think* that you could unpartition the non 10 gig partition and expand the 10 gig to be all inclusive, i also think that is kinda complicated to do.

RE: Question
You used to be able to do it with Partition Magic. I don't know if there is a freeware alternative. The other suggestion I could make is to actually have an automated script that gets rid of your backups or downloaded patches. Another item would be to identify if you've installed applications into C:\Program Files that could be uninstalled and reinstalled in D:\Apps or D:\Program Files.

RE: Question
no. I have to figure out why my windows partition is version 3.1 and my other partition is version 1. Because they are a different version i cant remove, make space or move the partition divider.
