Jury Duty

Post by z3r07w0 »

As some of you already know i was requested to court for jury duty. I've spent the last 3 days waiting to get onto a jury or get challenged. I didnt get into the first 2 cases and thought i was going to make it without being selected but it turns out im now a back up juror for a very big murder case.

For those Canadians, this case involves the guy who slept with 11 women while he had HIV. Two of the ladies died and the others are infected. He was charged with murder on 2 counts and aggrivated sexual assault on 11 counts. Im not going to give my opinion but i thought i would post this info for you guys to talk about. He pleaded not guilty to every count.

Are you allowed to discuss a case you may be on?
Most people are like slinkies, they are only entertaining when you push them down stairs....

Juror deliberations (opinions) are not allowed to be disclosed.
The case itself and almost all of its details are open to the public.

I'm no marine biologist, but unless there's a way to match HIV from host to host... the prosecution is gonna have all kinds of timelines and witnesses and proof of where and when to place the guy at all of the encounters. Maybe some of the ladies still have a stained dress.

The defense will come in with "If the penis don't fit, you must acquit."

All the women, that are still alive, will be testifying. Everything i shared with you guys can be read in the paper. Any information about this case wont be released until the day this guy is to be in court. Which is oct. 20. Being a back-up juror, I'm not needed unless one of the jurors cannot be there. Once the court date passes i can consider myself released from any jury duties.

i would get higher than i have ever been (which is pretty wasted) and drive a rented porche into a wall at 210

the of course would occur only after i had borrowed as much money as possible and traveled the world until my health was so bad that it was "time"

I wouldn't do anything that would endanger the lives of my family. Plus the debt that you would accumulate would pass down to your family if you have any..i.e. Wife. If i had a terminal disease i would quit my job and try to enjoy every minute i have left.

I saw an interview about this case on Canada AM just now. I definitely agree with the analyst they spoke with, that there is a huge difference between sexual consent and informed sexual consent. As long as they can prove that the women had no prior knowledge of his HIV infection, I'd say he'll be spending the rest of his days in prison.

Well, now that the case has begun they cant call me into jury duty. The defense tried to dismiss the jurors because they said that the panel didnt reflect the majority of Hamilton ppl. Meaning there wasnt any black ppl. The judge said too bad. To be honest, the defense had decided who was going to be on the jury so they shouldnt be able to dismiss anything. They also know that the second panel of jurors, which im on, didnt have any black ppl either. That does reflect our over all population because most of our community is either Italian or portugease (i spell that right?).

At least 2 of the women have evidence that they discussed weather he had aids or not. If thats the case he will be going to jail for a long time. They also have a video and voice recordings of the two women that died from aids. That will also spell trouble for this guy. Its reported that one of the ladies did a recording just before she died.0oo00oo

i just watched a south park episode talking about aids.. and how its been around for so long and nobody seems to really care about it.. its always trumped by somebody with cancer

anyway .. if the dude has aids.. why dont they just shoot him... how do you send a guy to prison for life when he's not suppose to live past 10 or so years anyway ..... and how the hell is magic johnson still alive???

Aids doesnt kill everyone. For some ppl it just sits in remission. Others need to take drugs to supress it. Then there are those that try everything and still die. You never know who ill die its just how your T cells get eaten up by Aids and you cant fight off diseases. Even a common cold could kill some of these ppl. The reason they dont shoot them is because (besides his rights) its not his fault that he contracted the disease its his fault that he spread it.

He could of had sex with someone who had aids but didnt know it. There is an average or 3months where you are contagious but dont even have any symptoms and tests will come up negative. So it might not of been really anyones "fault". Though then you can still say its his fault for sleeping with women who get around
