Hello All!

I can't wait to get back online to hear the familiar voices that I have missed!

I have been busy these last two months finishing my basement and travelling for work. Pink, Rabbi, Time, the U.K. rocks! My trip to Aberdeen and London was a great success and very fun. It's too bad that we couldn't meet up for a Mcdonalds ice cream or something. Oh well next time.

I think travelling for work is officially finished for good. I have been the International Sales Manager at Sun-Mar Corp for the last 5 years and in various positions in the production team for 6 years prior to that. It has been a very good experience here for me. The only negative is that my boss has this issue with me for some reason. Everyone here sees it and calls it simple jealously. I am not convinced. However, there has been something going on for sometime now and last year it started to effect my health. I decided then to come up with a plan B.

I am one of those guys you hear about who has been lucky enough to do decently well with just a high school deploma. Of course my spelling has suffered! I have decided to go back to school full time and train for a second career. I am 38 now and the thought of giving up my secure job here to take my chances back in school kind of scared me. (Wow this is turning into gone with the Wind)! Sorry. Anyway, I was scared. I had to take some prepatory courses (Biology and Chemistry) I got 95% in Bio and 87% in Chem. My confidence was back and I now felt better about applying and going ahead with my plan "B". I applied to nursing and was accepted.

My question to you all is, and I know I have left out a lot of detail, do you think this is a good move?

Next question. Are there any of you who are considering something similar?

Last question. How many of you like cheese as much as I appear to?

Where the heck is Den? Ok that is the last question I promise!

It's a good move. It's something you feel you would enjoy doing so there would be no reason to second guess yourself.


I would never go back to school! But have always considered a change when it comes to where i work.

Good move? Most definately! The nursing profesion is on the rise. I made a huge move last year myself. I used to install Home Theaters and was paid very well. When all this economic BS started and thing were getting bad, I did not think people would go out and still spend thousands of $$ on TV's anymore and got scared of losing my job(look what happened to Tweeter and Circut City). So, I started looking at other options and 1 of them was kind of in the medical field. I now install X-ray, CT, and MRI's for GE. The traveling kind of sucks, being away from my family, but the $$ is there and I see alot of the country.

I agree Cooler, it's the right thing to do. You know better than anyone to follow what makes you happy. You live once and never settle for less! As far as your boss, he's probably a COD player and victim of your canoe headshots but doesn't dare tell you.

I'm looking forward to a new chapter in life. Not to mention getting back online and hopefully into competition.
