I bought it, played around with it for a bit, and here are my thoughts . . .

This is one MASSIVE game. The singleplayer adventure is similar to Baldur's Gate, and am told it lasts around 40 hours. But thats not why this game is bought.

Looking deep into this game's multiplayer capabilities and the Aurora toolset is a bit analagous to being a kid with a pile of 50,000 legos.

Now I cannot comment on how a well organized module with friends goes, but a random internet game is pretty dumb. Everyone just stands around wondering what to do. Or worse, some 12 year old DM named Butch finds it entertaining dropping Red Dragons on people.

Also, I'm not sure on the longevity or uniqueness of characters. I mean, whats to stop people from having the best and most powerful items? Finding a Holy Avenger doesn't mean nearly as much in this game, because you can just give yourself one. I assume most kids will have bags of holding completely stuffed with the best items in the game.

So treasure finding has very little value if you ask me, unless you play with friends and you all play by the rules.

I am by no means and expert on the game, only played it a few hours, but It's definately an interesting game. It's just so big of a game I don't even know where to begin with it.
