So, first off I'd like to ask how ya'll like PS? Is it boring, fun...long time spans between battles, etc?
Second, do any of you have systems that run at around a 900mhz athlon, 512mb pc133 ram, ti4200 128mb vid card? Cause, that is what I'm running and I'm afraid to invest money into a game that consistently cost me dough and then have it not run very well.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to the responses.

My personal opinion is either find someone who has the game and hasn't given away their 7-day trial, or wait until they come out with a free-trial download before you buy it. I think a lot of ppl were very gung-ho into the game and, though the upcoming additions sound cool, I think that many are starting to become bored with the repetitiveness of the game.
Others though still find a great deal of enjoyment in the game, and hopefully if they expand the storyline and speed up the add-ons, it could still be a great game.

ahhh, ok...i think that this pay to play scheme that gaming company's have adopted is really a curse. I've looked into Star Wars Galaxies also, just for a change of pace, but it seems that people have the same type of complaints. Paying for game play after spending the money to purchase the game itself is a turn off. I'll keep checking in to see how things are developing. Thanx

I was running an AMD 1gig with 512mb pc 133 sdram, TI4400 with 128mb of ram and it ran pretty well for me. YOu can't have all the graphic settings turned up, but over all i think it the graphic settings that I had set seemed to make the game run fine and not sacrificing crucial game detail. I agree with Arch with the part about finding someone who has their trial code that they can give away. I have been playing since it was in BETA (March) and i still have fun. I think no matter what game is out there will always be repitiveness. I like the game even if it gets a little repetititious.Second, do any of you have systems that run at around a 900mhz athlon, 512mb pc133 ram, ti4200 128mb vid card?

I actually enjoy paying for a game. I don't get upset over a little 14.95/month bill (thats parking at a good resturaunt heh). I think people lose sight of the calibre of current online games. PlanetSide is a bit stiff for what you get (value), but aside from that one game, they need a monthly fee to provide updates, support, upgrades etc...
Usually the youngin's who have never owned a business or seen what it takes to run one complain. I played Ultima Online for 5 years at 10 bucks a month and to be honest, Origin/EA would have folded in year 2 if they only relied on the retail sale of the box one time. That would mean some of the best memories of that game would have been lost.
Paying to play insures a great game.
And you cant compare to SOF2 and the like, where you're playing on someone elses server, running around a tiny little box shooting 30 people. Not even close.
That's just my 2 credits.
