email i just got from OGL Admin...
"OSP v0.3f is out and available. Those of you running OSP on your
servers, update ASAP.
This one fixes the crouch-lean bug so we can get back to playing the
game with TALENT instead of bug exploits.

Here are the changes in the new OSP 0.3F that are of interest..
All the bug fixes and game enhanced bug fixes are optional. Here is a list of them:
Everyone should notice that just because a server is running 0.3F doesn’t mean that the crouch leaning is fixed. The value G_ENHANCEDBUGFIXES needs to be “1â€. If it is set to "0" none of the above changes are in effect and the crouch lean bug is still be there. This should show up in the server information window in the game browser.
Most of the feed back in the forums are the “Thank you†kind but there are a couple things they are looking at. I will keep you informed. FYI: I have seen complains in the forums about the shottie being useless.
I am thinking that we may put this on the server in the beginning of August.
Let me know if there are any questions.

** fix: shotguns and melee weapons now hit crouched players (crouch lean bug)
NOTE: in order to fix this problem some of the shotgun's stats had to be readjusted, the shotgun
will "feel" different because the hit detection of each pellet is now done like the rifle bullets
meaning that they have to hit the "real" player model (hence fixing the crouch and leaning no-hits)
Also the shotguns will fire innacurately when jumping (like the other weapons)

USAS_INACCURACY 0.5f
USAS_MAXINACCURACY 2.0f
USAS_SPREAD 1.75f
** fix: all projectiles now hit leaning players where they should, in default Sof2 all projectiles
go through someone who is leaning, not anymore
i.e.: projectiles can now wiz by your head if they dont hit your actual player model,
grenades can be thrown between legs instead of bouncing on an invisible wall in front of
the player, etc.
** add: client: "osp_useKeyForLadders", option to have to press the use key to grab ladders,
disabled by default
** add: m4 rifles's m203 cannon does not reload automatically any longer, you need to press the alternate
fire button a second time for it to reload

midnight Drk prolly wont be playing this game competitively anymore simply because of the fact that once September hits we all will be starting class and no longer have the free time we had this summer.. since I am a slacker and dont study i still might play the game at a competitive level but i am certain Drk as a team will not be

OMG Dr Death,
GO PLAY ON SOME OTHER SERVERS!
Our server teaches you how to ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK, real damage inf servers teach you how to see and aim, normal inf servers teach you how to sneak and survive shotgun battles. Don't know if you could tell by us playing for a little bit last night but there are several different ways to play this game. EOF had a 40 second respawn time in CTF, which made for VERY different game play.
There is more to it than instant respawn run and gun.

I'm giddy about this, really cut back the power the M590 has. Scenario: (I still play SoF ocassionally) yesterday (our server with 0.3f active), my pistol-wielding self went up against two shotgunners, one being an old-style-bouncing-bunny-rabbit-with-pump-in-hand (the other had a 300+ ping). I was able to kill both of them unscathed with little more than two magazines from my 1911.
I continued, and a while later there was a guy doing the damned crouch-lean as he turned the corner to shotgun me. Now I killed the guy with my M60, but if I had a shotgun, I would have felt OH so much more satisified.
