LOTR The Two Towers
LOTR The Two Towers
It is a good movie with some astounding fights, but if you were hoping to have it the same as the book, your out of luck. It has deviated more from the book then the first, almost so far its pitiful. Some changes make it more interesting, some make you mad if your as much of a fan as i am. Some very fine graphics though, i will admit that. Overall good movie, but could have been a great movie.

in truth is was not really "different" from the book as it is "off track" from the book. while the first movie ventures two chapters into the second book, the second movie finishes three chapters before the end of the second book- leaving much of the second story untold. they had to remove a few details- regarding the ents as i guess the cost of having them onscreen is much greater than was expected. the turned out to be the only significant difference- the fact that the story revolving around them had to be slightly modified, and therefor ended up making a few small changes to the rest of the film. in all it was pretty damn good- a little more actionous than the first was.
Well i being absolutely nuts about lotr am completely happy with the movies.I've read the books seen the films even seen some picture from the return of the king which isn't out yet.The main reason the movies seem different is because they cut out many scenes from the book for the extended dvd (coming out in novemeber which is near my birthday *looks sideways at TNS and Time to Die hoping they understand her hint*).Overall if the battle scenes are good the games are good the books are good, then in my opion its all good!
But i admit it was confusing when someone asked me what happens to merry and pippin after they are taken away in the fellowship of the ring.
*TNS and TTD stare at rat oddly* What? Rat needs something to consume its time.

Chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 12-ounce package (2 cups) semisweet chocolate pieces
1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts, pecans, or hazelnuts (filberts) (optional)
Directions
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 8 minutes
1. In a large mixing bowl beat the shortening and butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda. Beat mixture until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in remaining flour. Stir in chocolate pieces and, if desired, nuts.
2. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 º oven 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and let cool. Makes about 60 cookies.

Hmmm cookie recipe you say? I just wrote that I enjoyed the two movies and I am looking forward to the third. If it is anything like the third book it will be about 9 hours long and mainly frodo and sam walking and sam bitchin an moaning about his cookware had to be left behind and how poor master frodo has to just keep moving. I sure hope the Shelob scene is a good one...cookies indeed...bah what a strange bunch you are.
