Trev, just make the decision for yourself - Is it worth it? I would say as young as you are, it isn't. Tell her that you just want to be friends and you'll see each other when you can, but that it's best if you guys spend the summer apart.
Just an experienced old (relative to you) farts opinion....

I'm like the energizer bunny. lol.
*UPDATE: We spoke online for the last time last night..and now because of this whole mess I've not only lost her as a friend, but I've lost another friend as well who got dragged into the whole situation. It's finally over..
Ha...never in a million years would I have thought me telling her that I like her would lead to me losing 2 of my better friends. Bah..oh well. All over.

Lev,
I dated many, many women before getting married. I was married for 16 years before we decided that although we loved each other because of shared history and common background, we were ready to pursue other interests. We're still the best of friends, but that romantic love just wasn't present anymore. In my heart, I knew it was the best course of action.
I took up with a 24 yr old, and was engaged for 3 years before she dumped me and moved home to NY because I wouldn't committ to the date. In my heart, I knew it wouldn't work.
You're still young enough to not have been kicked around by life and love enough to know what you're heart truly wants. Although this current relationship for you is on/off, turmoil and heartache, try to remember that your heart holds all the answers. If you listen, without allowing an early manifested survival drive to interfere with your decision, you'll find out everything you need to know. Even if it means going down a road that will be filled with pain and sorrow, if your heart tells you it's the right thing, then it is. Things have a way of working out for the best, even though we might know it at the time. Good or bad, the experience will teach you about who you are and what you want, and THAT my friend, is NEVER a bad thing.
Listen closely, and follow your heart. Do this, and eventually, you'll receive that which you give 100 fold. If this one doesn't pan out, you'll have more to give to the next.
We learn by doing.

I used to be the original Dr. Phil. But I looked too good for T.V., so they got that bald-headed guy to do it for less money. Ah, it's tough being young, talented and good looking.

Lmao I can imagine a dumpy, short haired Rayden hosting Opera and helping parents deal with stupid crap they should be able to deal with themselves.
Parents: "Oh Rayden *sniff* my son likes to listen to too much rock music *sniff*. I'm a useless and braindead soccer mom! ONLY YOU can help me on live TV and not in the privacy of my own home.
Rayden: "Screw that! Lets do Mortal Combat! *Fries the bitch with a lightning bolt and kills random member of crowd for trying to flee*
Now thats a show I'd like to watch! Eat yer heart out Dr. Phil!
