To Join yah guys :-P
Okay guys, here is the thing. I don't play any other game but CoD2 seriously, I just don't have the interest. I have 50 gazillion WoW chars, I play PS every now and then, but over all, I'm strictly CoD2. I met PHX members in the FSSF server. I'm former FSSF for any that care to know.
Now then, if it's a huge bother. I'm in up^ (Upmost Precision) for S&D CAL-O. It just so happens that CAL is locked down in SD, so no more teams, what have you. Now then, if you guys wanted to start an SD clan just to say you have one in TWL, guess what, I'm open for it. I'm not in SD TWL. Just CAL.
I joined PHX because I ran into Medic several times in the past and I enjoyed his playing style. I play CTF CAL/TWL with PHX, so how me being in an SD clan affects anything.. I honostly have no clue.
Okay, so it's two clans, but to me "Double-clanning" when one has nothing to do with another went out the window a long time ago when I hit CAL and got seriously into playing.
I've been active, online everyday, save for the days I've worked or been with my g/f Victoria, and I've given heads up to let you know. So honostly, what's being hurt?
I want you to answer that question "What's being hurt?" Give me one good reason that could cause like the whole clan to come crashing down and I'll leave. I'm serious lol.

I think your mistaking what's being asked here, as I'm trying to determine if different gametypes should be treated as a separate game.
But to answer your question as to "What's being hurt?", if we were to not have rules about members playing for other clans/guilds in Divisions we're active in, then there is no incentive to work to make PHX better. Instead, players would bail if things got rocky, or if they felt they had a better opportunity to excel as an individual playing with others. By making the requirement that members remain as PHX in games with which we are active, we have members that actively discuss what actions should be taken in order to improve our clan as a whole.
Now, you may disagree with this approach, but as many guilds and clans have come and gone, we've been around since 1998 and been quite successful at that. We pride ourselves at being different than other guilds/clans. Like many of us have heard ad nauseum - We're a family, not just a clan.
Now, to the other point about gametypes being considered "other games" vs a game in a division, I think I'll probably end up leaving that decision up to each individual Division Leader to make that determination. In this case, that would be z3r0. I'm going to discuss this with him and see what he thinks.

the difference is we dont go looking to recruit.we are making a name for ourselves by playing on competitive servers. We play with the same groups everyday.Eventually,Some members feel we own them too much and decide that they may learn more by playing with us.If they post that they want to be a member then they get the recruit tags.If ppl dont like them then it shows during voting.I dont ask anyone if they want to join. That was then......This is now.If the current members do not want to play,i dont have alot of time to replace them.In order to compete for us they have to where our tags.I want them to be members so they dont just come and play in a match then go back to their own clan. Our recruits are aware of this.Just from this hoopla alone Dave has decided not to pursue to be PHX.I feel the COD2 devision is running great!

dont worry zero it is not just a fps issue, just look at all the drama that the WoW division fiasco had... people hopping from this guild to that... I would say more but that would start getting inflamitory.
It is an issue we have had from day one... a lot of people dont understand when we tell them that we dont want people in multiple groups... but basically those people just aren't phx material anyways and we are better off without them.

I've been playing with the [-TOC-] clan for a long time now in SOF2 since our division fell through, but I'm not a member. I just play with them. I don't need three letters in front of my name to know I'm part of the family. Frankly if you only wanted to be a part of the family, you wouldn't give a toss about the tags.
That said, people at least know it's PHX-Thisnamesucks! owning them old skool on the TOC server
Tags are only there for closure really. The only reason anyone should want to have tags is because it's an honour to wear them for the clan.
In a few months when I'm 18, I may have a dilemma on my hands. [-TOC-], Yaz will be glad to hear, have a strictly 18 and over policy. I may want to join them also because I want to represent them in SOF2. They don't play in ladders, so there's no competition. But as I mentioned above, when you're a part of the family, it's an honour to wear your tags for your team. Is it then wrong that I should also wear the tags of my other family?
It may not happen anyway because I'm quite happy not being a member and just playing with them. But were I to decide to join them, what could I do? Should I just say no because it's wrong to double clan, or should I wear tags according to the game? What happens if they later moved to COD2, causing my family tags to clash?
Just a scenario for you to think about
