we're screwed either way..... stewart/colbert ftw..

i think i have to side with mccain.. because when he has a heart attack 3 weeks into it.. palin can take over and she's a milf..

i hate obama because oprah likes him and i cant stand her... racist skank... with all the hillbillies in the US, when/if he gets elected.. some klan member will get at him in no time im sure

Palin's only bad side for me is her opposition to pro-choice, but that is a non issue with over 70% of the country being pro choice. Roe v wade will never be overturned, or at least not in the next decade. it is just a tree stump issue for them to shout about.

she is a Governor which is about the best qualification for president it is possible to have and she has a great energy policy imo

The odds of obama being assasinated is greater than mccain dying in the next 4 years. There are still more racists in the south than there are non racists.

Alaska.. pretty much the only pure state left because its too far away to be corrupted by assholes and gangbangers... not to mention cold i almost moved there last year to get an electrical job on the pipeline

good hunting.
good fishing.
beautiful.

alaska is huge.. theres pleanty of room for a few oil drilling operations.. not like we really need it we just need to shoot the oil companies, price per barrel is back down to where we use to pay 2.20 a gallon...

luckily around here its dropped from 4.25 to 3.42 (got it this morning) and it appears to still be on the downslide

I'm Canadian so obviously I can't vote for president... and I also work at a brokerage so I have a fairly good window to where the economy is going now no matter who is elected.

I have to say that I usually lean a bit towards Democrats especially during the Bush years... ouch... but honestly if it was just Obama vs. McCain I would have to back McCain on the ticket. I mean Obama is a great speaker but there is no way he can implement a lot of what he talks about, and he doesn't have a lot of experience in implementation and no military experience. On the flip-side Sarah Palin is a media stunt wacko that I could just never vote for knowing McCain's age. So if I were voting I would vote for Joe Biden... meaning Obama on the ticket.

Mind you it really doesn't matter who is elected this round as the next 4 years will be the same no matter who is elected. Neither candidate is going to be able to implement anything they are talking about until their second term if they are re-elected. The global economy is unbelievably crippled and will take a long time to flush out... this latest bear market makes dot com + september 11th look like a joke (market/economic wise). S&P500 will likely take 10-15 years to equal what it did at the peak.

Right now our firm is heavily shorting US financials, US real estate and REITs, and bullish on the gold. Watching the DOW to 7000 and then we will reanalyze the short positions.

I mean DOW/S&P have pulled back 40% in 1 yr... the last bear market was 2 years long and wiped 45% .... and economically we are still decimated globally! It is scary as hell watching it daily.
I have no sig.

in the end the odds of obama being shot because of color are greater than mccain dying in 4 years.

and biden is a loose friggin cannon, once you think you understand him his positions and voting bounce around like a super ball! I would rather have a staunch conservative that is very predictable rather than a loose cannon waiting to go off in someones face

I agree with your opinions on obama though, he has an ideal unimplimentable vision of america, and honestly it is not my vision (which is more states rights and less federal interference in daily lives)

more than half of my votes for president have gone indipendant fyi :) this one is too important to throw away imo
