Undead, just ask your parents to sign up for the beta and then let you play. That's how I got into Anarchy Online's Beta. I'm still trying to get into Galaxies Beta, EvE Beta, and City of Heros Beta (when it's announced.).

A foolish attempt to make fun of me. I dont need a new comp. WHat i have now is perfect (well, maybe not perfect, but its perfect for my needs). I wont be wanting a new comp for awhile. I only to upgrade a couple things, such as RAM, memory and maybe a new vid card. Thats it really. My 1.4 GHz processor is doing awesome.

So when I get Planetside, I PWN your ass with my 1.4Ghz processor. Bwahahaha...800 Mhz...

They have removed the money thing from the game. No longer does anything have a money value. Now you just set up configs like you would in tribes and pick the one you want at the equipment terminal. The terminals must be supplied with power and must not be destroyed for you to use them. The base or tower or ams must belong to your empire also and if it is a base it cannot be hacked, since while it is hacked nothing in the base works until the hack is broken. Now since I play for the vanu I find myself stealing the guns from the other 2 empires because our medium assault weapon flat out sucks.

Shoot me any questions you want because the NDA is officially lifted. Wooha!

Ok the three sides. Right now each kind of follows a pattern.

Terran Republic = large amounts of ammo fast fire rates. These guys are the sprayers of the game. They have guns with big clips and high rates of fire. I would say these guys have the best weapons as their heavy assault is friggin amazing. It is a chaingun that just craps out rounds. If you carry both normal and AP rounds you can tear up both infantry and maxs/vehicles due to the stupid amount of rounds you can unleash in a short time. Like I said these have the best gear, but with that goes all the little retards who want to be L33t 0wnz0rz and you get alot of lone wolf types also since you can be effective vs everything.

New Congolmerate = heavy hitters but slow. These guys have the biggest baddest tank there is and they have some pretty damn good guns. There is a problem right now in that the jackhammer (which is their heavy assault shotgun) doesnt work as intended. It is basically a 3 barrel shotty with the ability to let loose with all 3 at once if you wish. Now the problem is the spread is HUGE and if you are not within like 2 feet of whatever you are trying to kill you wont kill them without alot of luck. They have the best anti vehicle/max weapon there is at range. Its a one shot wire guided missle. You basically fire it and change to a missle camera then drive it to the intended target. You can take it over walls around rocks and trees and that is why it rocks at range. It hits hard also but you must reload after every shot and are 100 vulnerable while you drive the missle.

Vanu Sovereignty = mobile and accurate. These guys are supposed to have the advanced technologies which gives them jump jets on their maxes, hover ability on their tanks, and laser/beam weapons. Now the problem is they are not balanced yet and are supposed to be once the new patch hits. We shall see. I for one have always like the underdogs. I always have said that the more enemies there are just means there are more to kill.

You will probably find me fighting for the VS once the open starts assuming they actually do fix the multitude of problems these guys have.

Flying is ok, but I suck at it. They will soon be adding full joystick support for vehicles and that should change how many people you see in the air. From what I tried its hard controlling air vehicles with just the keyboard/mouse. All vehicles will be getting an upgrade now also. Before you could shred them with armor piercing rounds, but now small arms fire will do very little if anything to them regardless of ammo type. You will need to bust out the anti-vehicle gear to hurt them. Now when folks see tanks and planes such they will be a bit more feared and will need to be countered by vehicles of your own not just 30 guys shooting at them with their rifles.

How long did it take after you signed up for them to respond if you are in or not. I signed up yesterday

It took me over a year to hear from em I have no idea Taz, but I do know they are starting the first phases of open beta so I would bet you hear from them this month or early next.

problem is, it wont let me in. it says the server will be up in the morning so i'm hoping thats why i cant register my game account.

Good! U and me should stick together FGO since im getting sometime this week. We`re both gonna be lonely noobs in that game, what with all the other PHXers showing off their huge vehicules and such. Not sure what i want to take, but i think i would like to become a combat engineer. Seems to be a good choice.
