ICS Mod

Post by Levangles »

hmmm... was talking to IDO a few days ago and he mentioned that he was thinking about making our (rather dormant) inf server an ICS server. Just for any of you that haven't gotten it or played it- it's a mod that changes a few weapons (the sounds they make and their rate of firing is different), adds a few nades (like those that were on the COP server, plus some gas nades phosphorus nades, and the gas mask is an option), and the main difference i found is the "HITMAN" game type. -- A player on red is given the brief case and he and his teammates must protect it for the duration of the game. The blue team must assinate the guy with the case- if the case is dropped u have like 10 or 15 seconds to pick it up again. so if red is elminated or the case is left unattended for x seconds, then blue wins.
it's a really fun game espcailly tactically-wise.
whole bunch of new maps - a few of which definately suck, i wont lie to you. there seem to be quite a few people playing it, and there is usually only 2 or 3 servers that end up having people on them. if we make our inf server a ICS one i think we might end up making it pretty busy- even if we just make it CTF.
just my 6.5 cents
oh one other thing- in this you can heal your teammates!- a nice option. also new is the female outfitting, for our one female clan member!
here's the link if anyone's interested

wow sounds cool...
· improved balance
· greater utility of all weapons
· improved performance under lag
· increased weapon specialization
· improved quality of weapon feel and efficacy
· more realistic relative weapon performance
· more consistent weapon behavior
