hello... i started working on making me a new sig , but for some unknown reason everytime i get a pic of the net and save it on my machine i cant seem to open it

what i mean getting pics of the net i mean right click save as thing ,
but when i try opening the pic lets say photoshop it tells me its a unknown format even though its a Jpeg/ or GIF image.

i tried to open it with everything that i got and nothing is able to open the file

i have photoshop , paintshop pro and all that good stuff that comes with windows XP home edition . Plzzz help me , or if you know of a program that will be able to open /convert file types that would be great thnx.

If it doesn't have an extension (some computers save it like this) like...

Click - Save As - "Doog!" - Save
The pc will save it as "doog!" and forget the .jpg .gif. Just make sure the extension is there.

If not that, try age-old MSpaint.

And if not that, just "copy" the file in the right click menu, then paste it directly into the project.

G1, try to open internet explorer and then go under file open and point to the graphic files you downloaded, I think you have messed up your file association or Photoshop, if it works under Internet Explorer, just try reinstalling photoshop.
