Game Server Selection?

I'm going to stand the game server back up here in the next couple days. Any suggestion as to what you'd like to see on it? I'd prefer a game that PHX'ers may be playing and that may help to draw people to our site.

Thoughts?

have den create a game thats worth playing.. nothing is out that grabs more than 3 PHX'Rs attention at a time right now

More like there are too many things that grab all but 3 PHXers attention and seperates them across games.
Those gosh darn "HEY A NEW MMO THIS OLD MMO IS OLD" MMOs.

i think AoC is pretty much dead.. failcom just let too many things get out of hand.. now the hackers are running the game

IDO was thinking of a FEAR 2 server, but I don't know how many would be getting FEAR 2 (probably not me).

I was toying around with the fact that if I can't find anything current, maybe doing a rotating old school server that would rotate between SOF2, COD1/2, and UT 99.

I'm up for any suggestions. I'd rather it be something new that will draw people, but the big thing for me is to see people playing on it that may end up being interested in joining.

good idea, tho ud have to be careful bout setting rotation as u might dissaude people frm play on the server if it switching game every time u play. Would you do something daily, like switch at 3am when most people are asleep?

I'm actually planning on getting FEAR 2. Played the demo and loved it. Not sure how the MP is going to be though...

Maybe TF2 or Left4Dead?

yeah I loved the fear 2 demo will probably pick that up as well but I'd say if you want a game that many play right now I'd say left 4 dead.

I would say one of the COD games, 4 or 5 . Left 4 dead would be ok too. I dont play it very much but i have it. Im making a map for cod 4 but i wont need a server to play/test it.

on my old machine, playing DOOM3... i found myself jumping back in my chair a few times as i walked with a flashlight in my hand and something crashing out from under the stairs at me.. cant imagine what it would look like on the newer one.. guy from work borrowed it and then got fired.. bastard

I know a few people still play CS, and I like the zombie mod for COD, not sure havent had alot of time to play lately, its got to be something that is vista friendly.
