Dropped TDM
Dropped TDM
We couldn't field a team to defend our 4v4 tdm 3rd place position. We dropped the ladder and we look forward to Modern Warfare 2.

The new rig i'm planning out also looks forward to MW2, will be nice to get to play at a good quality again. Just need the 5xxx series cards to hurry up so I can put in an order.
Time stops for no-one. Why should I?

Re: Dropped TDM
I can see that not fielding a team is rough. How many times has this happened? I just got back online and now the game I like to play the most in competition is no longer available? That sucks! I was on last night and z3r0 asked me on xfire to play. I honestly didn't get the urgency of the request. I misread match but thought scrim. I was working at the time. Had I "got it" I would have made an effort.
I am still pretty rusty but the one of the goals of competition is to have fun not just win all the time. Winning is great for sure but the commerodrie and teamwork is what you can walk away from the keyboard and apply to real life.
I request that we reconsider dropping the TDM ladder. I know we would start over essentially but that was fun in itself wasn't it? It will provide us a forum for competitive play, develop our team and team work. I want to play competitatively with PHX. I played one scrim. I don't know my team and they don't know me. How well did they do. They made it to first place in a tough ladder!
Emotions can run high in competition. Especially when you have a competitive spirit and enjoy victory! Rash decisions based in emotion right after a tough match doesn't do us good.
Feedback is welcome. I think a good discussion would be great. Also please feel free to post interest in dropping or reinstating the TDM team.
Cheers,
Cooler
ps. Sorry z3r0. I didn't mean to leave the team hanging.
pss. Let's have some fun!

Re: Dropped TDM
Over the last few matches team members have expressed a lack of interest in competing in cod 4. We held a top 5 position in the 4v4 tdm ladder for a few months. Im a competitive person and would rather not play in a match if i have to struggle and beg to get ppl to play. We had a solid team and we played well together. Lets take a break and prepare for MW 2. The group of ppl i played with didnt run off. They will still be in channel and ham it up with the rest of the PHXers once the new cod is released.
P.S. we still have SnD although the numbers are dropping from that ladder too.

I have my system back up and as of tonight have COD:WAW, COD4 and L4D all patched and ready to go.... I should be on Vent and XFIRE whenever I am available to play. I was wondering if we still were competing. I am fine either way just let me know and I will try and be there....
With SC2 being delayed I am looking forward to MW2.
