L4D2 and Borderlands Pre-Orders?

Post by Archangelus »

IDO and I are looking into doing some pre-orders for games on Steam that are offering a 10% discount for pre-order PLUS an additional discount if you buy a 4-pack.

IDO is looking to buy two copies of L4D2 and I'll probably buy one as well, so if anyone is interested in being the fourth, let us know.

I am now strongly looking at pre-ordering Borderlands (now that IW is screwing us with MW2). Same deal except no one else has let me know if they're interested in going in on a four-pack.

Both games end up being about $33.75 + tax each ($36?).

I would be interested in Borderlands, and have a friend who might be too...

Having watched someone else do an entire twenty hour, nonstop playthrough of it, I am for Borderlands...
At a discount price.

While it does deliver on the 87 bazillion guns, the rest of the game is standard fare shooter.
Alone, the game is pretty easy and there is, technically, no difficulty setting.
When teamed up, the difficulty ramps up, enemies become more powerful and numerous.

It would be a great team game for $30.
So the four pack deal is ideal.

L4D2... I'll pass.

Pink - can you find out if you and your friend are in for Borderlands tomorrow? I'd really like to get this taken care of. If you're out - no problem, just need to know that too.

I'm pretty sure I can get a fourth if he can't do it, but I don't want to wait too long. I'd like an answer tonight.

Thanks!

P.S. - are you guys fine w/ paypal'ing me the money or do you want to do it some other way?

I have no interest in L4D2 - teen will prolly want it on the console if we get it.

Borderlands kind of intrigues me but it seems like a game I'd mostly only want to play with people I know...so will I know enough people playing...

I'm not going to be getting CODMW2 anymore so that frees up some money. Hrm. Crap crap crap!

The kid doesn't look interested. But here is how it would go down...I'd get a copy and play and then he would want to try it and then he'd want his own copy and wah wah wah because teenagers are stupid.

:D

I don't know if you can get more than 4 at that price anyway though...

So my only hang up right now on getting MYSELF a copy (the heck with him) is the fact I'd hate to be stuck with no one I know/like to play it with.

I'd intended to snail mail you a "Happy 70th, Grandma" card with forty bucks in it.

Ayyyla - I'm confident I can get a couple more people too if you want in.
Pink - sounds good. Are you fine w/ the Paypal thing or do you want to do something different?
Den - If that's what works best for you, I'll be your Grandma. I'm not sending you cookies or $10 for your birthday though.

Yup. When you Paypal the money, try to use the gift option (it's on the Personal tab) if you can. If you can't, don't worry about it.

Arch - I didn't see your PM until this morning. Is it too late to do what you asked me to?

Probably, Arch mentioned to me that he asked someone else to get a four-pack last night.
Though I still haven't gotten a gifted copy, and the game is about one hour from release...
