PHX - The Order of the Phoenix

Well gang I made it into the Planetside beta. Problem is I have very limited free time right now due to lame ass work. Right now I would expext most of my free time will be put towards Planetside, but once the servers becomes stable again I would bet you will see me around. Wooha, look out Planetside cause here I come!

planetside? is that some type of fps that's in like a huge world? sorta like acheron's call (if anyone's heard/played it). make sure you post bout how the game is- wouldn't mind hearing how that one goes!

Well with all of the issues with cheats in SOF2 I have seen lately I think planetside looks like a great option for fps. Because it is a mmog everything will be server side and anyone that knows mmog will say, hard to hack a persistant world game.

Of course this would mean no ladder games if most of us SOF2 peeps go there, but we can dominate a world instead muah ha ha ha ha.

Besides, who wants to play in ladder games where some guy with a special bind can just hit a button and pwn you.

I went to planetside's site and cant find a place to register for a beta link me to it if someone knows where that beta ap is.

Hmâ„¢, an MMOFPS. I'd like to see an MMO... er... thingie... with swords. Something like Jedi Knight II, but with mostly swords and hand-to-hand fighting. ...An MMOBEU! Massive Multiplayer Online Beat-em Up! Final Fight online? Well, something other than just guns, that's getting old.

Yaz, not everyone that whoops you uses scripts or hacks. For instance I, for whatever reason, seem to have bullets that would chase you around the map. When I can't kill anyone else on the team, I always get you. Trust me its nothing personal. =P
The only "script" I use is a weapon toggle for primary / secondary. I've been accused of using the elusive "strafe script" once, but then again I've also been accused of an aimbot a few times and those that know me know beter then that.
For instance. On Kam 5 last night one other -=TN=- (-=TN=-RKT) and myself were on Red and had a combined ratio of 119/39. And I can promise you nobody in -=TN=- cheats. If they did I would have their butt in a sling and they would be out of the clan and banned from all our servers (amongst other servers such as this one) so fast their head wouls spin.
Either way its easy for people to cry foul when they lose, we've all done it. That just doesnt mean its true.

By the way Yaz, that damn M60 of yours hurt like hell the other night in HK1. When it came down to just you and me left, I had full health. When we got done going at it I had no armor and about 15% health. You been taking lessons from -=TN=-Varmit?

Back to the topic of Planetside. I look forward to trying this one from what I've heard.

I love my bot, the "die to often"bot works great for me...

To add to A7ESF, TN works very hard in training and practicing to go for HeadShots... Two reasons:

1) Save on Ammo
2) Fast way to the flag

If I had a dollar for everytime we have been accused of being a bot, I would be a very rich man. Scary thing is as good as I am, A7 is better (sigh I cant believe I am admitting that) with long distance shots, but I own his ass with a shotgun. What is even more scary is that TN has even better shooters then A7 and Myself. Our newest recruit, that will be introduced next week may be better then just about all of us. He is damn scary.

The key in evolving your shooting is to avoid the temptation to use the USAS for close combat. I see alot of peeps using it which allows people like A7 to clean up because for long distance, USAS cant hold a stick to an AK74 or MP5.

Like the Chip n Dale clip Den. I'm certain i've got that game somewhere around the house. :lol!:

ok, here we go "some guy" using a cheat is NOT everyone... only takes one guy on every other clan using READILY AVAILABLE cheats to ruin a ladder. The site exists with cheats galore, people talking about them, talking about if punkbuster detects them etc. Aimbots, shootbots, movement hacks........

I have been playing the game close to 2 months, in general, relative to the elite that is PHX, TN, and any other good clan I suck, flat out not as good. I dont expect a positive ratio in a match, I dont expect to be the frag master. I expect to be beatin like a redheaded stepchild and I am not dissapointed LOL. When I have 6 months or a year in (most people that are really good have what, 2 years in?) then I will be awsome, and I will still say I suck :black:


As far as TN goes *shrug* I dont know you guys that well. I like all of you as far as I know you for sure. You say TN doesnt cheat, well that is all fine and good, the "shuffle" bind is not a cheat, because there is no way to detect it. This means that some of your people could be using it and you could still say with a straight face "we dont cheat". It is not cheating unless it is against the rules. The only person I have even made any kind of comment on is you lol (see next paragraph) and dont take offense to what I say, just reporting what I saw.


Yes I mentioned that you looked like you were using the shuffle bind the other night. The reason being that you were moving very sporratically and yet shooting very straight. I have sat with other members of PHX and tried as hard as we could using different combinations of strafe, walk sidways, and lean to get that effect without being able to reproduce it. For all I know it is a client side visual bug, but I saw your motion like that numerous times. I am not acusing you of anything, and I do like you, just reporting what I have seen with my own two eyes.

It is true A7 that for some WIERD reason you always frag the shit out of
me. Part of it is my "rambo" mentality of charging and your accuracy at distance. I get it from being a capper in Tribes2 ladder where you dont care if you die, three guys are blitzing the flag and one WILL get it (being able to fly helps a lot with blitzing lol).


as far as the M60 goes it is my new weapon of choice, I love it, I dont care if my ratio goes to 10% I will continue to use that innacurate elephant gun lol. Most of my ratio issues are my rambo mentality *shrug* but I have more fun than most people. :Fade-color

All and all I see SoF2 turning into another Diablo where punks with a script or hack will rule the day and talk shit about pwning j00! Its a deficiency in their ego and I forgive them for it.

The reason planetside will be the first ever FPS without hacks is that it is a persistant world run by Sony servers. Yes there will be exploits of bugs, but sony will fix them. Most FPS games decay over time due to hacks, Planetside will become more and more stable, less and less buggy, and have less and less usefull exploits for people to use.

No offense taken, believe me. ANd as far as the M60 being an "innacurate elephant gun", thats not always true. -=TN=-Varmit will make you crazy with that thing. He is deadly accurate with it. Personaly I think I'd miss a wall from 2 feet with it but he just has mastered it.

As far as the strafe script being "legal because it can't be detected" I'd have to disagree. Detectable or not, it's illegal in my mind. True that at the moment it can't be detected, but PB is working on that at the moment.

TN plays in CAL and CAL has already stated that ANY movent scripts are illegal and getting caught with them will get you banned. We would never take that chance. I'm one of the Team Capitans for TN and always watch my players closely. If I thought one was using it, I'd have his/her ass.
I could send you my cfg file right now, but you still wouldn't believe that it wasnt modified. I've worked very hard to be able to move like that and it drives me crazy when it doesnt work. All of our guys work hard at aiming straight and avoiding damage. Well almost all, a few have that "I know I'm going to die but I'm going to take some with me" attitude and I guess it works for them. I have no problem with dieing if it benefits my team.

Either way, keep practicing both with the strafe action and the M60. You'll be kicking ass in no time.

BTW, don't feel bad about me always killing you. Afterburner/Aaron use to have A7 enabled bullets when I was with PHX. He'd kill me like I had just started playing. =)

do you use strafe or do you use walk left and right? (a and d on the standard setup is walk left and walk right)

M60 and USAS anyday. But I am a holding player. Both make opponents dodge a wall of ammo to gain any distance. Love the mp5 but can't use it anywhere but Earthquake servers, where you get extra ammo per round, 60 instead of 30. Anywhere else and you don't have enough ammo to kill a guy regularly.

Pistols are darn annoying, glares at DenKirson. You go to mow down a large enemy force, kill Den first as you do, and end up wielding a pistol against four guys wielding M590's and AK's. No chance in hell against those odds unless you can dodge like crazy.

Due, i think thats complete and udder BS. When i first seen u play, yes, i would have to agree. But now, with u and dat M60(curse you!), i find your a force to be reckoned with. Stop putting yourself down man! Believe me, i sometimes get horrible ratios, and sometimes i get awesome ratios. Does that mean that i suck? In my eyes, hell no. Im just not consistent :black: . Out of a few ppl i know or knew that used the M60, u are by far the best ive ever seen. Seriously. U just dont realize it yet.
