I am downloading it now, Gen informed me how to get it for only 7$... Yay.

But I think we should have a section of the forums for planetside. I mean as it looks now we might be crossign over into ther, or possible making it our second most active divison and I think it calls for its own board.

What you guys think?

I think it will cum hard and die fast..once the fresher REAL rpgs come out (pay to play) but i will let you guys make your mistakes .

I'm not gonna get into Planetside. Looking for something outside the First Person shooter genre. Like Jedi Knight II again, except with more emphasis on Melee combat. Something like an online... Dead to Rights, Devil May Cry, like an MMO-Action-Adventure. I'm really hating having to aim at things.

I agree with Den. I'm not knocking Planetside, but the concept of an MMOAA title is amazing.

Although Planetside will be one hell of a game, it's just not for me. I'm sure you guys will have an awesome time playing it, and I really hope you do. As for me, well...

I just fired up PlanetSide, without a hitch, and BABY THIS GAME ROCKS.

You were all like me and said " Sigh, just another game" but I figured what the hell, I'll try it.

I'm going to tell you right now that all your little concerns, worries and musings about PlanetSide are NULL ! *plugs ears NAH NAH NAH NAAAH*

I'm pumped about this game now that I have actually tried it. Also, you know its gotta be good when DR actually puts Raven Shield down to play it!

I see inside my swirling crystal ball PlanetSide being a huge PHX game for everyone... don't miss out!

I agree that PS will not be for everyone. I see there being ppl that prefer MMOFPS games (ie. PlanetSide), ppl that prefer MMORPG games (ie. SW:Galaxies), and ppl looking for something new like a MMOSG (that's Massively Multiplayer Online Sports Game - see Ultimate Baseball Online if you don't get it...) or a MMOAA game. I for one think there are room in the world for all of them, just not room in my pocketbook. So rather than say "This game rocks and your game sucks", I encourage you to try as many of these games in beta as possible cause you never know what you're going to like.

That political speech aside....

How on earth can I get it cause I can't get on through the official site due to age.

If you go to FilePlanet, you can become a subscriber there for only $7.00, and then download PlanetSide right away. Though, PlanetSide is around 1.3 GB to download, and then you need to download a 200+ MB upgrade.

I just tried Planetside for the first time....It seems very complex, but could be interesting once I figure out how to control everything......and where do you get those tanks??? Someone ran me over in one. LOL!
