PHX - The Order of the Phoenix

Couple of questions for ya.

1) Ok gents what is your plan of attack for this bad boy game come next week? We have tried all three empires and have decided on an empire to play when she goes live. Which one is PHX going to side with? I am going to save my input on this until some folks reply a bit. I dont want to taint any views of the empires for those who have yet to try them.

2) Which side of the east/west server deal you going with? I myself get much better pings, in the beta, to the west coast ones so it really doesnt matter to me which is chosen in the end.

Just toss some input in here, so we can get started getting everyone on the same page. Chances are we can host a dedicated vent server on a machine at work, so you guys wont have to lag yourselves out hosting it. I have had alot of problems with that internal voice over IP, so at this point I would say dont use it and stick with the external.

There seems to be a tear between the Vanu and Terran, although a few more choose the Vanu.

I can't really tell the difference between East or West, but either way, shooting a guy hits him right away, but he doesn't die/get hurt until two or three seconds later. I turn a corner and the guy's shots are still hitting me from four seconds ago. It's like they were able to mask the lag some, but it's annoying when I'm well out of fire and in fact I should have been dead four seconds ago.

Most likely I'll drop my pay-for-play on Asheron's Call 2 and switch over to this... maybe. I can't take two pay games at the same time, and I still really like AC2.

Terran is the Newb Republic... their weapons are the easiest to use, and their MAXs are insanely overpowered.

Well then after that flurry of activity I shall post my views on the 3 empires after a month and some of playing.

TR -- There isnt a snowballs chance in hell we would ever fight for these overpowered l33tsn1p3r5 asswipes. They have the best weapons, maxes, and vehicles in every category except heavy tank.

VS -- These guys were who we fought for most and have come to basically one conclusion. They have a very shitty anti vehicle weapon which also doubles as a very shitty indoor max buster. Now if you cannot destroy these 2 enemy elements then you have no chance to win being outnumbered on basically every island except amerish. Everyone flocks to that island because its the only real place we have a chance, due to massive numbers. I will be sad to see my lasher go, but sadly there is little choice if I want to have some sort of fun in this game.

NC -- I guess that just leaves these guys. I dont know what it is really about these guys that made us pick em. They dont really have anything but the vanguard that excels at what it is supposed to do. They have the worst maxes and the worst heavy assault weapon. They have gimped the best anti vehicle weapon to the point that the general pool decimator is almost better or at very least just as good. I think the reason we have come to this is that this empire seems full of the average guy. The one who wants to be able to compete, but not be so outnumbered that it doesnt matter if you take out 8 to your 1 you still lose ground. It also isnt full of the little shitwipes that flock to the TR because they have by far the best weapons which means easier kills.

I love a good challenge, but to be honest the challenge that is the vanu is way too much. NC is still a challenge, but its at least one where you have some hope of coming out on top.

I guess in closing I hope to see you in the blue and gold, but if not I will look forward to seeing you in my crosshairs.

I'm open for suggestions, east side servers would deffinitely be better for me as i'm over here in the UK. As to teams, anything but TR, all the jerks I know seem to flock to them for the powerful weapons and they have no co-ordination whatsoever. If were gonna have a squad, avoid them, charge and blast is their only tactic. Other than that, I don't mind, NC or VS is fine by me

Well then here is what I suggest. Fire up a new guy on the new Konried server and give the NC a try. I will be on there as Belaz since Savant seems to be taken on every server instantly Give me a tell and we will get you in the squad and bust some TR heads! I figure its beta and the wipe is coming soon, so now is the time to get in and try it and see if you guys do indeed feel like you fit into the NC. We will be playing evenings somewhere between 6pm - midnight cst during the week and will probably be on quite a bit over the weekend to get a good fix before they take em down to prepare for launch. Hope you see you all there.

I can now say officially, I CAN'T GET THE DAMN BETA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. God damn it 5 attempts to download it and it crashes at 87 % every bloody time, I have to wait for release on Friday next week. Get your asses on the new Konried server and join the NC. Time is running out. I set up a temporary outfit there just to jack around with all the commands and toys and such. Shoot a tell to Belaz when you get in with PHX in it someplace and I will get you in and to the fight. Time is running out......get on it!
