PHX - The Order of the Phoenix

I was thinking that if people would post things they like and dislike about the various certs. What implants are good to have. What veh certs are good. What setups they like and what they like in their inventory would help eachother out.

I am changing my character because i want to try different certs out.
Right now i am an adv hack, eng, reinforced exo, med assault, max pounder.
I am thinking of losing the hacking cets and acquiring a veh cet and another weapon cert like special assault.
I have been the max dualcycler and i find that the pounder is good but it racks up the grief pts fast. Haven't had enough time to exp with it and see which is more effective. I like eng better than hack because you help others out by repairng them in the field.
I had a reaver cert for awhile and really liked it, except for those damn missle locks. I really want to try the liberator when it is available. I tried an ams for a little while but wasn't too impressed with it. It is good because you provide a spawn point and only costs 2 certs.
My inventory is kind of random not really sure if it's the best setup. I usually carry cycler or the punisher with rockets and plasma grenades, a shotgun 3-4 medkits, A REK, and an armor repair thing.

My certs are medium, Special assault, Harasser, AMS, reaver, Engineering

Implants - Darklight, Adv Regen.

medium assalut is good I use it for a while by itself, tis nice to have...

Special assault is just so worth it. It can pretty much kill anything in under 6 shots no matter what gun you use. Its great too casue the ammo isn't too large and its nice to have if you don't have a reinforced.

The harasser I just picked up untill I can get another cert point to get a sundnderer. Its a required thing for Crs.

I like the reaver allot. Its good transportation and excelent on blowing amses and other reavers up. It works good on picking off infantry too.

The ams in on of the best vehicals in the game. It can run anone over like a magrider and the respawn capabilites are awesome. Its also good if you wanna use the reinforced so you can drive it and then switch it out.

Engineering is good for all to have, and most do. Its good to keep yourself alive and those percious maxes that save your ass all the time.

Darklight pays its weight in gold. Its something that you can't live without in this game. I actually have ti binded to my mouse 3 button I use it so damn much.

Adv regen is good to use after you are in a firefight to save yourself for the next or untill a medic can get there...


Now for the things I've tried...

The dual cycler max is good but only if you wanna do a max stuff. Its cool because you can kill allot but you need someone near you the help you hack doors and repair and such. Its not for me,

The Burster max is great for aircraft and I took many down thanks to it. It also works good on infantry but you nealy kill yourself unless they're really far away and ti takes allot of shots to get em down.

The inf suit is good but only for cloakers or combat engies. I can't stand still and always shoot pop shots at people. And everyone's got darklight so It aint too useful anymore.

hacking is good to have no matter what kind of armor you use. Its nice because you can get your own stuff done and you don't have to carry any extra gear, since everyone should already carry an REK

I din like the reinforced Exo suit becasue I like flying the reaver and changing was a beeyatch

I had the prowler for a bit but you really need to stay back with that thing and let the gunners take care of the work. I didn't like this becasuse I like to run people over...

ADV targeting is good but Not for me right now, the 2 i have are a preferance over it

the range Magnifier is cool but most guns don't really do anyting since their acuracy is so bad. Its one of those things that is for snipers only I feel.
