Single Player is nothing more than a how to for multi

Post by GeneralH »

I played single player for 2 days, around 10 hours in total. I beat it today and it wasn't what I was expecting. Single player is just that, something other than what you will find in multi...but not here, you just get the same shit repackaged.

So you start off with a neat little intro, then you have to prove yourself - which is really just a few levels to introduce the weapons. Next you play Dm, Dom, CTF and BR in that order. If you finish them all you play a advanced team dm. If you beat that (it was a close fight 18 to 20), you fight 1 vs 1 dm. And he is a cheap bitch too.

Once done you get the normal bs about how your fight has just begun. Game over, play multi.

The advantages here is the over all skill you can learn. First they show you each type of play, how to play and general tips. The bots are not easy at times and can challenge you. You get to really learn the levels which I feel is a must for anyone who is going to play. The bots also know the levels well so watching them go is a big help.

Some of these levels are just insane. A BR scrim is going to kick ass :)

In the demo for BR you would get 7 points most of the time by scoring first. 3 is normal. Whats odd is that it did not give you 7 all the time. Must have been a flaw. The single mode stated that you will always get 7 for jumping into the goal with the ball and 3 for shooting it. Nice to know - one last tip do not allow your bots to score, I seen them a few times run right upto the goal then turn around and take 2 mins to try and kill all red first....only to die and not score a single point. Shit they had the chance 4 times to score but didn't. What you do is get them close then command them to pass to you - jump in and end it.
