Anybody else manage to get into the open beta?. Been playing it for a bit and besides the horrendous amount of bugs there's some stuff I actually like.

IDO, his son, and I are all in. I actually can say that I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. Kind of reminds me of a revamped Earth and Beyond w/o the trade aspect and merged with City of Heroes for the ground combat.

Doubt I have the time to take it further than the beta, but I do find it enjoyable.

I have been playing it quite a bit. I do find it enjoyable and like playing it whenever I have some free time. I wish that if you wanted to buy a yearly subscription you didn't have to pay for the full version of the game in addition. Plus with BF:BC2 and StarCraft2 coming out I am not sure of my time.

We need to get together sometime so you can help me out since I am such a MMO noob. :-)

To tell you the truth I had 0 expectations going into the beta. Actually I expected it to suck as I'm not a fan of cryptic's other games and I didn't like some of their design decisions on paper. When I actually got to playing the game though I started having a blast. About the only thing I can still say I don't like is the state of the game, but I'm downloading the new patch as I type this so we'll see how it goes.

My char name ingame is Minsc if anyone wants to friend me, I have a lt commander grade 6 right now.

I got into the beta and was pretty excited about the game, but once I started playing lost interest pretty quick. Ground fighting is not bad, but space does not seem like it has much to it.

Think this is one i'll be passing on, it's looked pretty clunky in the trailers and i've just not been convinced going by people's feedback from beta. Maybe in a couple of months after a few upgrades.

Is anyone playing the game now that it is released?

Yeah my friend from school and I are both playing it. Still a ton of bugs and broken stuff but I'm finding it enjoyable enough as a distraction from EVE and LOTRO. Got a lifetime sub so when my mmo ADD strikes I have both STO and LOTRO to bounce between now without worrying about sub charges.

I heard about this a long time ago. Haven't played it yet, but if any of the phx or old shadowbane crew are in, then I am.
