It's from a bit torrent site...do a google on bit torrent and you should be able to download the program you need to access it. I will be able to send you the link to download it when I get home...I left it to dl over night so I can fire it up when I get home tonight.

That file is only 64Kb. Its a Gigex... um, download-y thing (exe). Its pretty fast.

Now that I have UO, it seems I cannot join the Order of the Phoenix because "this server is not running a valid UO client!". Might it have something to do with that Third Party App, Razor?

make sure you have patched up the client. also you have to be running in 3d mode I believe

I'm all patched up ... 4.0.3d (patch26) and UO gateway 1.8

I get the same message ... this server is not running a valid UO client.

The problem is that UOG doesnt recognize the latest patch as a valid client. I had this just happen to me the other day. I reinstalled the program and stopped the patching before it reached the latest release. There is one very long patch that changes the way that game opens. It prevents you from clicking through the opening EA screen. The patch takes about 2 mintues to apply so its fairly easy to pick out form the rest. I just ended the uopatch.exe process and it works fine. Its not an error with UO its UOG not being up todate with the newest patch.

I got the error because...

In the settings tab of UOG, there's a drop-down box with "Client:" next to it. Change it to Third Dawn (#D) and save the settings. I did this and it worked immediately.

I was running around for about thirty minutes in the game last night, looking for stuff to kill.

Wait, you have to play in the 3D client only?

If this is the case ... LOL (uninstalling immediately)

3D sucks so much it's not even funny...

I hope this is not the case, as I would like to PvP !

They have a post on the UO Gateway site talking about the issue and said that you need to use the latest Beta UOG Client. I don't know if anyone has tried it yet or not.....

Heh...I was playing for a bit last night, god I miss UO. Made me want to play Ultima 7 again too but it's such a pain getting it to run well on a newer comp. with sound.

Its a great game but my 9700 can't seem to handle the graphics. I should have bought a MX440 or at least something with working drivers.
