I gotta say that I have given it a fair shake. I played it for around 6 hours now in total and here are my thoughts :

*yawn* B-O-R-I-N-G . . . fancy graphics taxing $3000 fully loaded PC's and dazzling FX can't save this one I'm afraid.

6/10 is my rating.

After playing UT2K3 for about 2 hours straight, I logged on to good ol SOF2 and MAN, It was like I was holding my breath underwater for those last 2 hours and then AAAAAAHHH, fresh air finally.

After a while UT2K3 just started to taste like stale bread. Once the graphics and network stuff get more smooth, It may appeal more, but even then It will just be bread.

I think BF1942 will end up being my poison. It just kicks too much ass.

Boring? Well its basicly a better version of the first. Simular to Q2 to Q3, you basicly got a much needed upgrade in visuals and a few weapons but the concept was exactly the same.

Basicly all these kind of games do the same thing, grab a gun and kill..... SOF2's INF was a cool idea, DEM can get old very fast.

Sof far UT2k3 looks great but again some levels slow down way to much for the visuals you get. On my system I can play the Anubis level perfectly with 32 players. This level I think is the best visual map in the demo and its also one of the largest. You can get all 32 people on screen at the same time in your base. Then you have the DM inside level, this level doesn't look that good yet with 16 players it can slowdown a lot, way too much.

On top of this the network code is the pits. I ping 32 to my own server connected to the same 100BT hub. I have yet to find a single network game that does not stall or ping out. Because of this I can't use many of the weapons which makes the game worthless.

Word is the game hits Oct1 which is rather close...way to close to make changes and still get the cd's kicked out. So the game will be delayed again or they will release a version slightly more finished than the demo and have a patch ready for it day one. Anyway you look at it, this isn't going to be good.

I think I will pass on the first day release and see what people say. Also for those that are wondering the demo has been hacked already - aimbots and wall hacks are passing around. They say the final version will have protection code to stop this kind of shit but it looks like someone is just waiting for the final app to give it a run.

Sad day for FPS....

I will upload a image of my game...as soon as I find out how
