Wouldn't have any effect. Those "high-speed" services only pertain to web-browsing because they use a compression algorithm for html, asp, and php. They don't do anything for data packets in relation to gaming, so you'd be at dial-up speeds. DSL and Cable slaughter those services - and of course, they are always on.
well forget all that then. im lookn at moving into this new apartment and the girl said she is geting net zero cuz she is unhappy with charter... but i have to have my cable so ill just have to set her straight i guess.
those dial -up high speed stuff is crap... they make people believe they are getting high speed when it only speeds up your web browsing by about 3-5 times faster when my cable internet is 100 times faster than dial-up.....my bro has high speed net zero and his download speed isnt but about twice the 2kb/per sec he used to have... i get about 185-350kb/per sec with cable download... i download songs in under 1 minute... sure it costs $35/month... but its only 10 bucks more than AOL... heh... but im on the net 3-4 hrs a day either gaming, downloading 30 min long porn movies... ummm...not very often mind you... im not some ordinary pervert you know... heh heh.... i can see the backlashing and jokes coming in now
actually ffa restricts phone lines to only 5-6kbs per seconds for dial up this has been like this forever ever since aol2.0b so unless u have isdn it doesnt matter what they claim u will only get 5-6kbs
