I have been using Teamspeak for the last few days (for EVE-Online purposes) and it seems to me they have made many improvements to the program. Seeing as how Ventrilo has changed the terms of their licensing agreement would it maybe be beneficial to give the newer TS a shot and see how it is. The sound quality that I have experienced is on-par with or better than vent is now. Might be something to think about.
Yeah, we definitely talked about it when Vent changed their licensing. We may revisit it in the near future, especially if there is a feature that isn't available in our version.
I'll have to go check it out again. Maybe IDO and I can do some testing.
From what I've seen of it the user limit is huge, the servers that I have been connecting to have often had 150+ people in it. lag also doesn't seem to be a problem anymore either. also the channel options seem much more robust as well. and users can create thier own channels on the fly.
The week Vent changed their license I downloaded TS and setup a test server but never did anything past that point. I may look at setting up a test server this weekend for the heck of it.... Does anyone beside Badash already have the client installed??
