Competition

Post by JungleJim »

com·pe·ti·tion ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kmp-tshn)

1. The act of competing, as for profit or a prize; rivalry.
2. A test of skill or ability; a contest

Websites

XTGL - XTreme Tournment Gaming League http://www.xtgl.com

OGL - Online Gaming League http://www.worldogl.com

TWL - Team Warfare League http://www.teamwarfare.com

CAL - CyberAthletic Amature League http://www.caleague.com/

FYI

COD - I think all the new recruits should register in OGL since we are already setup as a team there.

SOF2 - I believe for SOF2 TWL has the most teams, but I am not sure how active it is, XTGL is new and most of the SOF2 Clans that are there, we play with so I think that might be best, short term anyways.

Is there other games we should compete in??

So whose up for the challenge??

I'm curious to see if a Battlefront competition will arise in the near future...

I know that CAL has adopted a pay/play mentality, atleast for Counter-Strike. Im not sure about the other games, not sure about what leagues it applys for. I would guess that its for CAL-O, CAL-I and CAL-IM are fairly hard core and dedicated. I saw a short article on it, but it wasnt specfic as to what laddars it applyed to.

There is also the PG, www.provinggrounds.com , its more of an amature league, but has some interesting ladders. It has CS, CZ, BF1942, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and CoD ladders. There are few other games also. I played in a few of the CS ladders while i was away at school last year. There are some good teams out there.

will battlefront have a team competition aspect to it?
it doesn't really feel like a game that game be played easily, and enjoyable, in a 5v5 type setting? i could be way off here, and probably am... but something about the game just seems like it'll be a "frag till you drop" type of game till it runs outta steam.

I personally don't see BattleFront taking off in a competition setting. I'm not saying that there won't be competitions for it, but I don't see it being one of the popular ones.

Outside of that, I'd like to see all the recruits that would like to play CoD competitively get signed up in OGL. Also, let us know where you decide you are going to compete in SOF2, so that we can get signed up there as well.
