Ideas?

I was thinking that our website could use a bit more graphics, like on the main page, maybe Xor could design something background for behind the PHX Banner, with a theme like mythical warfare going thru the ages to Futurist Warfare. I dunno, something to liven it up a big to new people, and add some color?

I also noticed the Sof2 stats link, great job guys. Can we add UO stats and UO/SOF2 server status windows too?

And I know I am gonna catch flack for this but I sometimes have trouble reading the white writing on on the checkboard patern in some places on the website. Maybe Im just color blind and dont know it, lol. Maybe some seasonal colours rotating ever 3 months? or just something different?

I like the screenies we have rotating too, but can we make it bigger or at least fill the window, without having to click on it to see it better?

Don't get me wrong, I love our website.

Im just throwing out ideas, getting the creative juices running.

Any Comments?

Ideas are always good, Jim. Never worry about throwing out suggestions. I have no problem doing design / color changes when I can or when I have help. I am planning a significant update (though you guys won't notice much, because it's backend stuff) that will have me tied up. I'm hoping to do it this weekend, but real life sometimes gets in the way.

1) If anyone is up for trying to design something to add to the site graphics (or otherwise), feel free to submit it to me. If I like it and it is appropriate, I'll add it. XoR has done some fantastic work in the past, but I don't want to obligate him to anything.

2) I honestly am working on trying to get an SOF2 block up. In fact, if everything goes as hoped, we'll have a block for an SOF2, CoD, and another game server (unannounced).

3) You should have been here when it was red text on black. he he he. Once again, we can look at designs. I'll look around, but I tend to do them infrequently because I like to make ours unique and that usually becomes time consuming for me....I'll look into it though. Don't want blame for someone going blind.

4) I'm not sure there is much I can do about the screenshots. I'll look into it though.

I will work on fixing the COD stats and getting the UO stats going as well

Maybe I will try to work on something, I have a few ideas, and if you guys like it, we can get someone better to polish it up, I dont pretend to be a graphic artist!

Someone doesn't read the forum much.......

Yes, it is a work in progress. At this time, I'm fine.

Phase 1 (i.e. Last night) consisted mainly of putting a fresh and updated version of the CMS up on the site. We also updated PHP to the most current 4.x version.

Phase 2 (tonight) will consist of a forum reorg, download module update (bringing back the ability to upload), and restoration of some of the blocks you are used to (Ventrilo Status and Game Server Status).

Phase 3 and 4 will hopefully take place on Thursday and Friday, but at this point I will withhold any information pertaining to those updates mainly because I don't want to commit to something I cannot get completed.
