Ah, Star Blazers, Space Battleship Yamato series. The classic space "star ocean", like the Japanese Star Trek/Wars, but a lot cooler.

Yes, Animatrix.

The key to knowing what is anime and what is not is that anime is just a Japanese/French word for "cartoon" or "animation". Technically anything is anime.

Cultural.

In Japan, anything introducing hand-drawn or computer-generated animation is "anime", because that's what they are, animations/cartoons.

On the Western Hemisphere (US!), everything is a cartoon/animation. Only select groups define Japanese animation as "Anime Style" or "Japanimation" or "whatever".

Indeed. Quite a departure from its previous movies and series to go for something like a giant mutant creature.

I'm looking forward to Samurai Champaloo. Its practically the next Cowboy Bebop, made by the same guy (Shinichiro Watanabe).

I'm not a big fan of Cowboy Bebop but lately I've been catching Wolf's Rain on Adult Swim and boy oh boy I'm entranced.. its definitely the most enjoyable anime I've come across.

I've gotten both movies, the OAVs, and saw just about every episode thrice. I now fill my samurai quota with Samurai 7 and Samurai Champaloo.

Yay! Outlaw Star 2: Retaliation is'a coming... soon. Like three... years.

POKEMON GOTTA CATCH EM ALL lol. I like Rurouni Kenshin, Naruto, Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist, Steel Angel Kurimo, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Furi Kuri(only for the insane or people going insane that just need a push) , GTO(awesome series sad when i couldnt find anymore) and etc etc so many out there. Also towards the end of rurouni kenshin it gets really WEIRD last 2 eps in particular wont spoil anything but its definitely not how i thought they would end it. Also for u kenshin lovers what do u guys think was his best fight?
