Help w/ screen resolution

so yea heres the deal... couple years ago when i bought my computer i had to buy an lcd monitor so it would fit the space my computer had to fit in... funds were tight and i had to get a 15" one....
now i'm getting a little bit frustrated because i like having my resultion set so things take up less space, but my display settings wont let me go any higher than 1024x768. for world of warcraft purposes i would also like to up the resoultion.... is there any way i can do this without getting a larger monitor?

My guess is that the monitor maximum resolulation is 1024 x 768, which is true of the older LCDs. Only thing you can do is upgrade the monitor information file, download it from the monitor manufacturer and update your windows driver. My guess is you need a new monitor to do what you are trying to do.
