Silent Hill movie Shooting in Brantford, ON, Canada
Poo and I found out that they are filming parts of the silent hill movie in the town of Brantford, which is about 15 mins from where we live. We drove by the set and it looks pretty cool. Gonna check it out when they are filming if possible, should be cool to see.

That's awesome! I hope they dont botch this like they did the Resident Evil movies.

As long as its not in the hands of a certain Uwe Boll.

Ugh...Uwe Boll seems to like making the worst movies possible...alone in the dark looks ok but bloodrayne looks like ass, and I liked the resident evil movies, I thought the first one was better than the second one though.

BadAsh I guess the whole cast had brunch at the Burford Arena this weekend.

Bah - you'll have no luck with extras casting calls.....
Filming only is going to last 3-5 days and ends April 29th and..... it's an Independent Flick so it'll be interesting to see the final result.

erm...last i heard it's got a $40 million budget, that's more than they made the first x-men on if I remember correctly.

Well, Chris Gans hasn't done any major North American films, though I hear Brotherhood of the Wolf was good. It isn't funded by any major studio and there is no solid information on budget. As far as I found, it was listed as anywhere from $20 million - $50 million.
My point wasn't that it's going to suck, but that w/o a major studio backing, shooting on a short schedule, and no notable actors identified, it will be interesting to see the final result. I love the SH series and I'm hoping it will live up to it.

I thought the resident evil movies were pretty good actually. Even though Boll did make Alone in the Dark, I still feel compelled to see it. If he manages to screw up Bloodrayne... he must be stopped!

I guess the guy who played Borrimere is in it too, Sean Bean or something like that.

info I've found on the movie is the budget is $50 mill, Sean Bean aka boromir is indeed in the movie, they are shooting for 3-5 days in Brantford before moving to other locations. The distributor for the film is alliance atlantis/tri star pictures and the special effects are being done in the T.
Other things I've found out is that a bunch of the crew have worked on the Resident Evil films and the script was written by Roger Avery, who has done a lot of work with Quentin Terantino.
More when I find it out.

Ah sweet, Sean Bean is a great actor! He was awseom in LotR and in that James Bond movie (I think it was Golden Eye, not sure). Maybe this flick might turn out good after all.
