O Canada!

Post by PinkRabi »

To all Canadians,

Hey i was wondering if i could have some help. my family and i are taking a trip to Canada and i was wondering if any of you know of any good hotels etc around Canada, because the brochures are good but i bet they cant bet the fact you actually live there. Plus i know (or at least hope :P ) that unlike Travel Agents you wont try and rip me off.

Even if you dont know of any this message also doubles up as a warning. PREPARE TO BE INVADED BY PINK!!!!

Muahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhhahaahahhahaahhaahaaahahahahaa

*takes ritalin*

Thanks

It would help if You could tell us what city you are travelling to. We are spread out across canada with most of us around the greater Toronto area.

lol no shit obsidian, and we plan on visiting as much of Canada as possible, but especially Toronto, Niagera Falls, Vancouver and Victoria, and maybe Anchorage. We are gonna fly some of the way and i think there's a lotta travel invovled in doing that, but we will have 14-19days ish so thats ok. Plus if you guys know of any other good places it would be cool

Heh...14-19 days probably won't be enought if you plan on going from toronto to vancouver/victoria.

Here's a size comparison between Canada and Europe:

Canada: http://www.nationalgeographic.com/xpedi ... &SubMode=w

Europe: http://www.nationalgeographic.com/xpedi ... &SubMode=w

note on canadian mape where toronto is and where vancouver is. Its a looooooong way.

Also anchorage is in alaska which is part of the U.S.

As far as hotels go, The usual big chains are pretty good either way, depends on where you are planning to stay. We'll need more info if we're gonna be able to help out anymore.

well for when you are in toronot there are alot of hotels you can stay in. but i normally stay in the Sheraton since i have a friend who work there and i can get a discount. its a nice place to stay in and its a fairly good price in my opinion. they are also all over the place so you could find them out west as well

Thanks for the info, it takes 3 days to train trip to Vancouver from Toronto, or a flight :P And i know its in USA but we will spare a trip into the 3rd world country to see the city.

We don't mind were we stay as long as its good value for money and close enough to the city to get public transport in and out.

Cost-wise either budget/economy or average. Nothing amazingly fancy

There's about 1 Tim Hortons for every canadian family, so I doubt you'll have a hard time finding one ;)

Anchorage is nice, but if you plan on going into alaska I would suggest hitting up places like Glacier Bay National Park, Juneau, or Ketchikan. Anchorage is just another big city surrounded by mountains, it is still a nice visit, but doesnt present Alaska in all its glory. You want to visit cities along the coast line. I go down every once in a while to do some fishing in what not. Im in North Pole, Ak. Nothign worth seeing unless you really really wanna visit the tourist trap called "santa's house". Which is just another crappy souvenir shop....
Most people are like slinkies, they are only entertaining when you push them down stairs....
