DoD issues

i bought the day of defeat game and my computer cannot read the disk.I returned it and they gave me a second disk. Yet i have the same issue.

My question is; can i download this game from somewhere and use my cd key to activate it?

That sucks. I assume your drive works, maybe just an older one? could be the copy protection scheme.

Have you tried pulling it off steam? Maybe you can activate it there and download it (no idea)

yeah. I went onto steam and if u have a cd key for any of there games they give you the game as a download. So now i have the game. WOOT!
