I got a RCA Lyra rd2762b 4gb mp3 player for christmas and its been hit with a corrupt file message.My cpu will not respond to it when usb is attached.I looked up this error and its a big issue.Nobody seems to know a fix and the only 1 i found was to reformat using linux, which i dont run. Any suggestions or ideas?
I did take it apart and its hard drive was disconnected. It could have happened when i opened it because i still have the corrupt file message after i hooked it back up.Im freakin out cause i love this thing.

That sucks, and I'm guessing you can't upgrade the firmware or reflash? Sounds toast 
I would contact whoever it was purchased from, and they should just exchange the unit out. But your songs and stuff will be a pain to get to, if they're even still there.
