Some weird Shit!

Post by Dr.Death »

About 3 or 4 days ago somrthing weird started happening with my PC. Quite often I will be play SWG and all of sudden I loose complete control. Weid shit gets typed into my chat, certain windows pop up like inventory, datapad, sometimes if I ctl+esc my media player is open and abot 10 different windos of IE. There have been times when my toon strats moving on its own and its got me freaked out. This also happens to wife when she is surfing the net so its not just when SWG is open. I have run a virus scan and have found nothing, I disconnected my modem for a while in hopes that if someone has hacke they would loose there connection. The only other thought that has crossed my mind is my house has become haunted, yes I said haunted. Does any one have any ideas as to what might be going on?

well the weirdest thing I noticed out of the whole thing is the part where you say your playing SWG still!!! hopefully a huanting and not a hacker. hackers are a dime a dozen. might be rare to have an actual haunting. good luck. ;)

Well your name is Dr. Death... maybe someone has returned from the grave for some revenge!

If not, have you done any searches through Google? You'll definitely find other people with similar problems.

Hehe, well since there is no such thing as ghosts, and I doubt a hacker would "remote control" your PC (this is very easy to detect). If you were being truly hacked, you wouldn't know it.

So, alas I would try a different keyboard! Even try a USB one in case your PS/2 port is screwy.

Also, It wouldn't hurt to go into your event viewer log and look for i8042prt errors.

This has happened to me a few times a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, and both times it ended up being the keyboard. But this is just round 1, so good luck!
