What do YOU want?

Here's the theoretical situation that I want you to think about and answer:

If the PHX website was completely blown-up and had to be redone, what would you want the new site to:

-look like? (i.e. design)
-do? (i.e. functionality)

Think about what purpose the site serves today (as well in the past), as well as the things you wish it did have (more game news, more game guild management stuff).

Blue sky stuff....nothing is off limits.

Not like I have any time to do this soon, but I have been getting the itch....

i say we get some RSS new feeds set up from game spy and file planet and the also our own RSS fro members only that list birthdays, events, matches and stuff like that

Mid, what is RSS?


I'd say, no grid at all. This little checker pattern has been brutal on my eyes since day 1.

Maybe something animated, like flames, burning around our mighty and mythical bird!

RSS is the <i>wave of the news future</i>!

Basically a psuedo-email thing that checks to see if something new is posted on a website. For example someone can make a blog post and anyone that is getting an RSS feed from it will get a little "you got mail" kind-of message on their <i>feed readers</i>.

I like the idea of having some section that can recognize new submissions on gaming news sites (sorta like gametab.com). It's a great source of information on game previews, reviews, demos, betas, etc. I personally check Evil Avatar, Joystiq, Kotaku and Destructoid.

I also agree with everything Mid mentioned, birthday notifications, a better calendar that can easily be accessible to any member. Stuff like that.

Would be great to have a robust calendar system, say clan wide as well as specific divisions. That way in the future say when CoD4 comes out we can schedule matches, practices, etc.. but also allow for people to mark off on the calendar when they will not be available, or holidays, etc. That way there won't be scrambling around for pickups a day before It's also great for MMOs for raids, pvp, etc.

Hexagons are the coolest. Only rivaled by dodecagons! Hexagons are the maximum number of sides before a perfect pattern is lost in a grid!
After six sides, gaps will be unfilled by the polygons!
