VENT

Post by CoolerKing »

Is the new vent still available on our site? And are there instructions available? I have looked but have failed to find.

Thanks,

Cooler

Go to the new vent post and click on the link or go to ventrilo website and download the 3.0 client. Then click on the join vent tab on our website and everything will be better again.

Just a magic missile at the darkness - make sure in options the "Line" is set to Microphone (input mixer).

Dnasty was kind enough to spend a lot of time with me trying to trouble shoot last night. We never did figure out the deal. I key up. We can get mic static but you are still being denied the wonderful voice of Ayla.

My vacuum cleaner ate the mic for the other computer (They don't call that thing the Dyson Animal for nothing! So far it's completely gobbled socks, carpet and my microphone. That's some serious suction, yo!) so I have to get a new mic anyway. I figure it won't hurt to see if it's a problem with the mic - though that would be awfully coincidental timing considering it was fine prior to new ventrilo.

So we're still trying to figure it out.

I dont know if you have tried this or not, but I was having the same problem.

Go into: Control Panel / Sound
Then Advance tab
Change Your default format to something higher, I put mine on studio quality and it started working.....

Hope it helps

Yeah - I bought a cheap headset at Wallyworld with the intention of replacing the one my vacuum ate on the other computer. Before I put it over there, I hooked it up here and tested it out.

I had a broken mic. So I guess I need to get another headset for the other computer now. :D I should stop rolling over the cords eh?

It is still darned weird that the mic broke at the same time I upgraded vent though.
