Many people are seeing the SMTP error when they are posting or sending PMs. Something changed with our webserver and IDO is trying to identify the change. The PM or message is still being posted as expected, but what is happening is that someone in that thread or receiving that PM is set up to receive an e-mail notifying them that a post was made to a topic they are watching or that they have received a PM. The e-mail isn't being sent or is creating the error in addition to sending the e-mail.
